Adventures of Dorrie Anne. Beef, Bacon, and Peruano Beans. Fading Rose →. Spinach Salad with Ginger Dressing. August 5, 2015. I’ve never been overly pleased with the regulation powdered, dried ginger that is found in the spice area of the grocery store. It has a wee bit of flavor, but not much, and it tastes a bit artificial to me. Thus I almost never use it except, perhaps, in a spice cake. However, I haven’t made a spice cake in at least forty years! RV'er, foody, caregiver, knowledge seeker. Another t...

So, we had 2 weeks at Storrie Lake, then 6 days away at Villanueva State Park, then back to Storrie Lake for 14 days. I was thinking of a place to go next. Maybe a little north to Coyote Creek State Park? Maybe Hyde Memorial State Park in Santa Fe? I realized I needed to get my next scheduled service done on the scooter, so Santa Fe it is! Moved to site #38 in the RV row. Canvas backpack, shoes, water, b...

Take To The Highway. There's a song that they sing when they take to the highway…. Skip to primary content. What’s next, you ask? August 8, 2015. Once again I find myself overwhelmed at the kindness in my comment box. Thank you all for your words of comfort extended to my family during these difficult days back on the farm. I tease Box Canyon Mark about my having stolen my friends from his Box Canyon Blog. As one of the first blogs I began following long before I even had an RV, the BCB has afforded me t...

Meryl and Me Hit the Road. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Interior Water Tank Fill Tube Nozzle. My first thought was to try AGAIN to fill that back tank with the city water connection - BUT that did not work. I came up with the following "tool" - and it has worked now two years in a row. I have been trying to come up with a name for this "tool". A long time ago a computer software engineer was working on a software tool that would enable the scanning of documents. He wanted. Now, this does not work with the tu...

Travels with the Blonde Coyote. Follow the Blonde Coyote and see more of the world! Archives A to Z. Ruby’s First Roadtrip! RIP Rover: On Walking Away. May 5, 2015. Me and my dream car in Cathedral Valley, Utah. Was not without flaws it stranded me three times in the first month I owned it but over the last two years and 60,000 miles it took extraordinarily good care of me, my dogs and my trailer, with a good chunk of those miles over the kind of terrain Land Rovers are made to drive. I’m not sure ...

Meryl and Me Hit the Road. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Troubleshooting on a Dark and Stormy Night. She was not talking about the thunder. There was a whining noise. A motor noise coming from the front of the van. Was the van engine off? Of course, the engine was off. Where was the noise coming from. We started searching around. What might make such a noise - and it started with the clap of thunder! Was there a surge on the electric line? OK", I said, "I am going outside! Clipping the fuse puller on the fus...

Currently up at 9500 feet, but heres a hike I did a few weeks ago while at Los burros campground loop is 14 miles moderate inclines, and there is a shortcut if the whole loop is to long. Cutting the distance down to 9 miles. Not without some aching feet. Heres a few more pics. Old non functioning wind mill used to provide water for game at one time. Posted by New Age Nomad.
