Monday, July 14, 2014. Today is July 14th, Bastille Day. I can remember learning about this holiday in French class when I was a girl. This time of year I always think of. The 1964 comedy, Paris When It Sizzles. So what does today have to do with knitting? Well, I thought it would be fun to showcase some French-inspired knits. http://megrokeknits.blogspot.com/2014/07/camping-knits.html
Sunday, July 20, 2014. I admit, I am not a camper. Bugs, bears and no plumbing do not appeal to me. However, I really enjoy hiking, canoeing and the quietness of the outdoors (especially having a break from all things techy). In a couple of weeks, my family will be "camping" in Michigan. By "camping" I mean we will be staying in a cabin with electricity (hurrah! By Tin Can Knits. Camp Out Fingerless Mitts. By Tin Can Knits. By Susan B. Anderson. Fair Isle Slipper Boots. Meg Roke Knits: Deep Comfort Wrap
http://megrokeknits.blogspot.com/2015/06/deep-comfort-wrap.html
Wednesday, June 10, 2015. The Deep Comfort Wrap. Was designed with two characteristics in mind. The first was to feature a repetitive stitch pattern that would be very easy to memorize and/or figure out while knitting so that the knitter wouldn’t completely rely on the printed directions, and could continue making those soothing fluid motions. The second was to create a knitted finished product that would make the wearer feel like a warm hug from a dear friend. I love the colorway too - May the Road Rise...

Meg Roke Knits: Back to School Sweaters
http://megrokeknits.blogspot.com/2014/09/back-to-school-sweaters.html
Sunday, September 7, 2014. Back to School Sweaters. Yesterday, we had our first taste of fall weather. cool, damp, gray. I loved every minute of it. It was not to last, however, since here in north east Ohio we seem to be experiencing an Indian summer. That doesn't stop me from dreaming about sweater knitting. My daughter, like so many children, went back to school a couple of weeks ago. I usually make her a "back to school" sweater in September but have yet to pick this year's pattern. Knit To My Lou.
