Perfection Found In Nature. I finished my crocheted shawl this week and after blocking took pictures. It turned out just as I had hopped. I wanted a relaxing project, crescent shaped that could be adjustable, using a skein of sock yarn. The pattern is currently in the testing phase and I hope to have it out near the end of September, just in time for fall weather. The pattern will be both charted and written out. 8203;I used Hilori's Magical Yarnorium. Cosmic yarn (which has sparkles! And Your Aunties Pa...

Canada's Team - Jeremy Gourlay
http://jeremygourlay.weebly.com/blog/canadas-team
The Riders tend to polarize CFL fans and that's the biggest reason they can't be Canada's Team. With recent successes and exponential growth in the fanbase after countless years of struggling-not just in the standings but just to stay afloat- the Riders aren't the lovable losers and "everybody's second favourite team" anymore. You love 'em or you hate 'em. That hypersensitivity is another issue that could spawn a blog post of its own. Thanks a lot, I appreciate that! Create a free website.

My new view - Jeremy Gourlay
http://jeremygourlay.weebly.com/blog/my-new-view
We just moved our office, within the same building but up a couple of floors and over to the other side of the building. I used to have a lovely view of a back alley. This is what I see now. Wish I could be out there. It's a beautiful morning and there are fresh Farmer's Market cinnamon buns to be had. And I did end up getting one of those cinnamon buns. Bacon and caramel. Deee-licious. Banjo Bowl 2014 - Jeremy Gourlay

Full plate of German goodness. This year it so happened that the Manitoba Fibre Festival. Was scheduled for September 6th. My wife, aside from being an accomplished spinner, crocheter, and knitter, is also a wool judge and was invited back to judge the fleeces at the festival. It was a very successful show - there was tonnes of interest in her judging, and sales at her booth were amazing. So what does this have to do with football? Wall of text to follow. Too long, don't wanna read? I turned on the hot t...

Who Knew I was Disco Stu? Saw a link this morning to a neat little thing on the interwebs where you can plunk in your date of birth and it will tell you what the number one song that day was. This was mine. I wish it were the version with Christina Aguilera and whoever else that was a few years ago but no such luck.I'm getting old. Sigh. Gotta love those outfits though. Try it out here. Well, Here goes. - Jeremy Gourlay
http://jeremygourlay.weebly.com/blog/well-here-goes
Well, Here goes. Well this isn't the first time I've tried the whole blog thing. Every now and again I start them, usually in a fit of insomnia or boredom, but don't follow through for long. I"m somewhat active on Twitter, but sometimes that 140 character limit just isn't enough. I'm creating this blog for just those times. I'm a huge Saskatchewan Roughride. Fan, so expect many posts of pictures, rants, raves, and hopefully some gloating as the season unfolds. Create a free website.
My takeaway from Saturday's game - Jeremy Gourlay
http://jeremygourlay.weebly.com/blog/my-takeaway-from-saturdays-game
My takeaway from Saturday's game. I finally tried the Elephant Ear. I kept seeing people walking by with them game after game, year after year and salivating. All that sugar crusted pastry covered in whipped cream and chocolate sauce? What could be not awesome about that? Well, the only thing that gave me pause was seeing countless toddlers covered head to toe in whipped cream and chocolate sauce and thinking -knowing- that I would fare no better were I to indulge in said treat. Yacht rock!!! - Jeremy Gourlay

So, as I said in my "about me" I am learning bass and guitar. I'm not very good but I have fun messing around and that's all that matters. Susie and our neighbour and any unsuspecting innocent folks who happen to stroll by when the basement window is open may disagree. I find the lessons from justinguitar.com. Do you like pina coladas? Or getting caught in the rain? Do you have this stuck in your head now? If you do, all I can say is mwa ha ha ha ha ha *disappears in a puff of smoke*. I live in Regina, S...

I've decided to stop updating Knit Nat AK and post solely on Alaska Knit Nat. See you on Wordpress! Links to this post. Quick Craft - Lace Curtains to Pillowcases. Eco-Dyeing and Natural Dyes. Last weekend was very eventful! I spent my days at The Naked Sheep. With Ash Alberg of Sunflower Knit. I also dyed a silk tarot cloth using the logwood dye. I am really happy with how it came out with bright colours scattered around. Here it is in action with my Spirit Cats Deck. On Sunday I took an amazing Shawl Design workshop also taught by Ash. Such an abundance of good info and insight. Shawls are great projects and accessories that can be worn all year round. In Pilot B...
