View from the Porch. Saturday, September 29, 2012. Plug and play home design. The main reason that modular/manufactured housing is so affordable is that while you may believe there are lots and lots of different floor plan designs, they're really the same pieces parts, arranged in many different configurations.

View from the Porch. Monday, October 01, 2012. Out with the old . One guy did this. The neighbors we're blown away. One guy split the house, put it up on the wheels, taped it up, and the only moving tool he had was a jack. It's ready to go. With a little luck, tomorrow. Those damn pine trees. North tree root ball.

Auntie Ann Knits: #2 Tries Harder!

http://auntieannknits.blogspot.com/2009/07/2-tries-harder.html

Wednesday, July 08, 2009. Our local County Fair ended Sunday, and I won a red ribbon! I won second prize in the "knitted shawl" category. Half done, with some help showing what it might look like blocked. Half blocked. What a difference. Moi, modeling my stole. It's the Twinings stole. By Anne Hanson. The yarn is Karabella Lace Merino, a lovely, slightly heavier laceweight yarn. Is that an oxymoron? I used about 3.5 skeins. It blocked beautifully. I knit it on US 7 Addi Lace needles. Love them. Some day ...

If there is any leftover "skin" on the gourd, it can sometimes peel and be unattractive on a crafted project so it is best to scrape off the skin before working with the gourd. This can be done with steel wool or any firm bristled brush. Once the gourd is ready, you can begin making it in...

Garrett came over on Saturday night for a "sleepover." They are so much fun to watch together. Garrett told me he has something even better than a brother or a sister - he has a cousin who almost looks like him! Here you can see the morning after! Posted by Kathie @ 1:14 PM. Last night was the silent auction at St. Clare. They raised over $40,000!

The Knittin' Coop

Friday, March 02, 2018. Thank goodness the cold of January has passed and the warmth of Spring has arrived a bit early. My crocus' are up and the trees are budding- but we all know that Virginia weather can be fickle and we are going to get cold again. So far March is coming in like a lion, overnight we had 62 mph winds and they're not due to stop till midday tomorrow! But aren't they pretty! I have a serious case of "Cast-onitis". I'm still working on my Torino Ski Sweater. Casting on for Sunset Highway.
