A jeweler designed for you. Silver Jewelry For Sale. Fabricated jewelry is made by bending, cutting, soldering and working the metal in its raw form. There is no mold made to produce a fabricated piece unless it is made after the piece is finished. Although half of jewelry is fabricated it is a dying art and not usually done anymore. Fabricated pieces of jewelry tend to be stronger and the design more crisp. We use a very fine saw to cut the mountain shapes into the flat gold. Silver Jewelry for Sale.

A jeweler designed for you. Silver Jewelry For Sale. First, a wax model is carved in the shape of the piece of jewelry, in this case a collection of pieces. Then, a plaster mold is poured around the wax models in a cylinder. The cylinder is then put into a kiln. Six hours later the wax is gone and the plaster holds that design. Small bits of pure gold and other metal is then melted by heat in a crucible. Centrifugal force is used causing the liquid gold to shoot into the plaster mold.
