It was a great way to use up those few leftover pieces of JR, and it only took a small piece of scrap batting. It’s quick and easy and cute, and makes a terrific “go-along” gift with the larger tote. First, cut up half a stick of butter into pieces and put them in the processor bowl. Add 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar and 1 cup flour, and process til the butter is in small clumps and the mixture looks like crumbs. They are for girls ages 8 and 10, so I want them to be made with fun fabrics, cute and sturdy. They’re going to be quilted, and have zippers, and sturdy straps.
