Lost in Translation: December 2010
http://habrooks.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 18, 2010. This morning we woke up super early and caught a train to Napoli! The first train we got on, from Fondi to Formia, was like any other train I had been on in Italy, each grouping of seats is in a group of 4, 2 and 2 facing each other with the isle right down the middle of the train. You may ask what other kind of train is there? WELL, the next train we got on, from Formia to Napoli, made we think of the trains in Harry Potter! All of the wax figures. So as we were walking to t...

Friday, May 20, 2011. View of the Castle is Sperlonga. My parents and me over looking Terracina. Stairs in the temple. After going up the mountain he drove us into Terracina and showed us the old part of the town, it had the old road that used to pass from Rome to Naples and it had all of the old churches and buildings. Then he took us to this little gelato place, on the way out of town, it had some of the best gelato I have ever had, it was amazing! Old church and bell tower in Terracina.

Lost in Translation: January 2011
http://habrooks.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 30, 2011. It showed the fight that our team can have and how well we can play when we really have the heart and will to do that, now I just have to figure out a way to tell them that.ha, google translate? Anyways, after winning the 4th set you could see that the other team was very down and had no momentum, they even took out there two best players, but they also had really good players to replace them with. We lost the 5th and final set due to several mistakes on our side. View of the ho...

Lost in Translation: April 2011
http://habrooks.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 28, 2011. Pasqua, Pasquetta and conquering Rome. Man this week has gone by quickly! Last Sunday, as I'm sure you're aware, was Easter or in Italian Pasqua. Earlier last week, Antonio invited us to eat Easter lunch with him and his family, I took him up on the invitation! I met him in the town center and we walked to his house. His wife, mother, sister, brother-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and her family were all there to greet me at the door! When we got in the car, she told us th...

Lost in Translation: Playoffs...
http://habrooks.blogspot.com/2011/05/playoffs.html
Sunday, May 15, 2011. Well since we didn't get first in the regular season, we got 2nd, which means we got a spot for playoffs. Now play offs are super difficult to explain and don't really make any sense, but I'll try to make it as simple as possible. There are two divisions in our region, A and B. The winner of A and the winner of B automatically advance to the next series, B2. Then teams 2-5 of both divisions enter playoffs, which are apparently a combined playoff pool. View my complete profile. A Vol...

Lost in Translation: Italy, It's been real...
http://habrooks.blogspot.com/2011/06/italy-its-been-real.html
Thursday, June 9, 2011. Italy, It's been real. The last couple of days, I have been packing and saying goodbye to my teammates and friends in Fondi. I went to the beach in Sperlonga a couple of times and I had some great laughs with Lynnea. I have learned so much from my experience in Italy, not only did I learn a new language but I learned about a new culture and I made tons of new friends. I am very thankful for this opportunity and I am glad that I got to share it with everyone through this blog!

Lost in Translation: September 2010
http://habrooks.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 26, 2010. Yesterday, we woke up at 7am to get ready for school.yes, school on a saturday! Ha but this time we were supposed to walk, and it was pouring rain, so we called our coach (who also teachers there) and asked him what we were supposed to do, he said just wait, and we would go in with him at 10. Well i was already up and dressed, so I just laid back down and dozed off. So after we got home at about noon, i climbed back into bed and slept until our scrimmage at 4:30. After the scr...

Lost in Translation: February 2011
http://habrooks.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Thursday was our day off and surprise surprise we didn't do anything. We walked around and went to our normal little dinner place and just relaxed. Random church near the square. Display of our drawing skills. Saturday we had an away game, this one for our season, we didn't play that well and we lost, so this is our second loss in the season, but we are still in first, we just aren't that many points ahead of the second place team, which we play next weekend. Best friends" (li...
