Guards in Nanyuki recover 700Kg of stolen metal. On August 26, 2011. Police in Nanyuki have recovered 700 kilos of scrap metal a week after Laikipia East District Commissioner Julius Mathenge warned those who are involved in the business. The metals which were being transported in a donkey cart were spotted by G4S officers guarding a former garment factory after they were alerted by villagers. The incident comes weeks after scrap metal dealers cut fence at an army base and Nanyuki police station fence.
