What's on Your List? A good friend just admitted to me that he's never seen the ocean. It got me thinking about the things in our lives that we want to do, and how we set out to achieve them. The movie. Was based on this concept. Things I wanted to do, and have checked off - in no particular order:. Learn a second language. Play blackjack in Vegas. Make wine (and consumed it without ill effects! Jump off a cliff (into water.). Eat a number of strange but delightful foods. Give back to the community.

I left without saying goodbye. So much has happened in the last six months. Certainly, the most important is that smiling mug up there. She's almost six months old now, and she fills the days sometimes with quiet, simple moments, sometimes with peals of giggles, and once in a while with cries that remind me of just how much I'm needed. Song of the day. I was talking to someone about the songs you listen to over and over. I've already alluded to. My tendency to wear out a track on my iPod. I realized I hadn't posted any music here in a really long time. I'm sure part of the problem was that my trusty iPod had gone missing. I was relying on NPR and the morning drive deejays to get me through. However, the iPod resurfaced, and I'm back into the music world as of today. Life comes to those who will choose.
