more than enough: April 2009
http://garnetruth.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2009. I'd like a chopped liver sandwich please. There have been a lot of things I've done wrong as a mom, but one thing I'm particularly proud of is my diligence in recording the funny, cute, or especially dear things my kids have said. I only wish I had started a notebook for Jim. He has on more than one occasion referred to my capris as "koom quats" - which I can only assume is a derivation of culottes (remember those? That took a tragic turn into the produce category. I am timidly...

more than enough: June 2008
http://garnetruth.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 13, 2008. Not technically, I realize, which by the way has never seemed right to me. Who can wait until June 21 for summer to be "official"? The clearest definition of the beginning of summer for me is that glorious first day of summer vacation. Dan has graduated and is actually gainfully employed already, making money for all the driving he will be doing between college and home next fall. Not to see me so much, more for his sweetie. We've been borrowing my mom's 5-speed, manual transmissio...

more than enough: I can call you Betty and Betty when you call me, you can call me Al
http://garnetruth.blogspot.com/2009/05/i-can-call-you-betty-and-betty-when-you.html
Monday, May 4, 2009. I can call you Betty and Betty when you call me, you can call me Al. At our house evolution is alive and well in the form of the names we call each other. If my poor kids ever have to fill out a background check and list all the names they've been known by, they'll need an extra sheet. Until someone would ask what his middle name was. "Oh, it's Daniel." "? So what's the T for? Garrison, my fourth, has a name that doesn't lend itself well to being shortened, so when he was little and ...

Hide and Seek: August 2010
http://joanvandewater.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 01, 2010. I haven't posted a blog entry in over a month and it may be another month before I find time to get caught up. What's keeping me so busy? We've been going and doing everywhere and everything this summer. Lots of day trips, free movies, a camping trip, vacation to Washington, baseball games, visiting Bill and working in the garden. Plus I have work and projects for the upcoming MOPS year to complete. Hopefully I'll have time to post more soon. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Hide and Seek: Happy Fall
http://joanvandewater.blogspot.com/2010/10/happy-fall.html
Friday, October 29, 2010. I'm back, not sure how consistent I'll be, and I definitely can't catch up for the last three months, but I'll post a few pictures and see if I can be a tad more consistent. No promises. I posted back to June when we took our tenth anniversary trip to WA; splitting time between my parent's house south of Spokane and a couple only trip over to Seattle. We had a great trip. Anyway, enjoy the photos and I hope to be back soon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rocks In My Dryer.

Hide and Seek: November 2010
http://joanvandewater.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 05, 2010. What kid doesn't like to dress up? My boys are no different. Matthew is Prince of Persia and Tyler is my Knight in Shining Armor. But of course what Knight or Prince doesn't have to put his sword in his mouth? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Steve and I have been married for 10 years. Hide and Seek: April 2010
http://joanvandewater.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 11, 2010. It was a beautiful spring day so instead of our normal routine of heading to the gym we drove to the hills. Falcon Park is our favorite park that is close enough to drive to, but feels like we got away a little bit. Tyler took this picture! Tuesday, April 06, 2010. I think it is truly impossible to get pictures of these boys in nice clothes. They both looked very dapper for Easter but they had stripped out of their clothes faster than I could blink when we got home. Why does a red...

Hide and Seek: Gingerbread Houses
http://joanvandewater.blogspot.com/2010/12/gingerbread-houses.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. Matthew really wanted me to come watch/help him decorate his gingerbread house just before Christmas break. It was fun to see the creativity of all the kids. I think more of his candy got eaten than ended up on his house, but overall it was a lot of fun. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Steve and I have been married for 10 years. Hide and Seek: Tyler's Christmas Party
http://joanvandewater.blogspot.com/2010/12/christmas-party.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. Of course, what are the holidays without a bunch of Christmas parties where my kids can fill up on sugar! Truly one of the annoying things about the holidays, but I just have to roll with it and limit what gets brought home. Tyler loves his pre-K class and joined in with all the festivities. Hide and Seek: June 2010
http://joanvandewater.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 10, 2010. Silly Tyler - he was being Mr. Potato Head messing around before the program began. Look at that smile! His whole body smiles when he's happy! Ain't gonna paint no more - the book of the year in Tyler's class. They loved getting all painted up for the performance. Miss Marshall - Tyler's teacher. Mrs Balding - what a great teacher. She helped Matthew become a leader and earn lots of smiley faces. These three together equal trouble with a capital "T". Field Day Times Two. Picture ...
