Tuesday, January 19, 2010. What we've been up to lately. Eating avocado's and saying mmmmm. Atigun loves his new quilt. Meme pieced it together and we both quilted on it. Atigun wanted to help sew the binding on. Gina and Sean Vance came for a visit! We had so much fun playing. I made this quilt for my friend Val's baby Ayla. It was super fun to put together. Wish I could take credit for the idea but I got it from here the Sweet Shoppe blog. Can't wait for the rain to clear up so we can go back.

Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Lotus Flower Wall hanging. I started this while I was in Flagstaff and finished it up today. I used a combination of fabric I have been holding onto and one only satin pillow case. I added some beads to a few of the flowers. I like doing these smaller projects just as much a larger ones. I like something I can do in a day. This picture is before I sewed on the flowers. 160; . Here is it all finished. I used the satin pillow case as. How it frays with age.

Sunday, May 31, 2009. Sunday, May 24, 2009. There is a Hummingbird nest in the wind chime in our backyard and little baby birds were born last week. I try and sneak out to get pictures in the morning, but it make Andy really nervous to see me standing on a chair.I just take the pictures when he is not looking. Monday, December 3, 2007. Andy and I got married. Scot performed the ceremony. It was amazing. Here are some photos if you want to see:. Http:/ picasaweb.google.com/andy.dethlefs/WeddingPictures. I finished Sara's quilt on November 18th. I mailed it out the next day so she would get it before she left for Chile. Here are a few pictures of the final product. Thursday, April 23, 2009. I have had a pretty busy last week or so! Most important thing I do everyday is continue to grow this baby! The Giants played the Diamond Backs (lost in the last inning), but as always it was really fun to go! Andy and I went to visit my parents recently and I fell in love with the blue fabric I found at the Picket Fence in Cave Junction. I decided to pick our a few more fabrics and this is what I got. Andy's cousin Krissy had a baby Girl on April 5 th. So I made her this quilt!

I fuse the fabic I want to embellish to muslin, and after I do the embellishment I fuse it the cardstock and then usually use the zigzag stitch on my machine for a final embellishment.
