Launched in April 2016, the STIGMA Project is an ongoing, statewide campaign to eliminate the stigma associated with people with disabilities. In a 2012 survey conducted for PMHCA, nearly 80 percent of Pennsylvanians said they believe society thinks of individuals with physical, mental or intellectual disabilities with discomfort and awkwardness. However, most people would say they do not contribute to the stigma surrounding people with disabilities. We encourage everyone to visit the Let’s Think Again.
