Prose and poetry, news and notions, laughter and thoughts of Home. A word on comments…. Wisdom Under the Sun. July 27, 2016. In white plastic pails. Under a hot August sun. Swipe her sweating brow,. Leaving four violet streaks across her brown face. She sighs and stretches and thoughtfully ponders. Looks like rain this afternoon,. She says, chuckling. At the skeptical wrinkle in my forehead. https://lettersfromhome.me/2016/09/05/giiiiirrrrls-yuck

Prose and poetry, news and notions, laughter and thoughts of Home. A word on comments…. September 5, 2016. The age of the Anti-Girl is upon our household. The boys have decided–overnight it seems–that girls are categorically gross. In the car the other day Will told us quite seriously, “You have to be careful around girls. They have these invisible bugs like….like germs that can actually jump on you. And you have to run away from them.”. My husband asked, “Are they called Cooties? Then there’s the ...

Letters from Aunt Louise to the kids during these days of trying times. Sunday, February 23, 2003. Things are running true-to-form here, what with all the trouble over in the Holy Land.
