A Georgia Girl in Germany: Cousins
http://quarnocook.blogspot.com/2008/08/cousins.html
A Georgia Girl in Germany. Sunday, August 24, 2008. I remember what a great time I had as a kid getting together with my cousins - it was always a special time. We may not live close to David and his family, so we get to see each other much less frequently than I’d like. But that didn’t stop our kids from getting along magnificently this summer! Again, they were inseparable in the yard, whether it was running around the utility room, running with the kitty or standing on an old piece of wood. MacKenzie w...

A Georgia Girl in Germany: Georgia on My Mind
http://quarnocook.blogspot.com/2010/01/georgia-on-my-mind.html
A Georgia Girl in Germany. Monday, January 18, 2010. Georgia on My Mind. After our last-minute trip to South Georgia for Granny Walker. Free food, free internet, free place to sleep, free phones to coordinate the rest of our travels, and wonderful hospitality by the volunteers - what a top-notch organization that cares for our nation’s servicemembers! So, back to our down time. When we visited over the summer. Just look at the smile on Benjamin's face as they drove off! That’s the look of pure joy! On a ...

A Georgia Girl in Germany: Another Tooth Gone
http://quarnocook.blogspot.com/2010/09/another-tooth-gone.html
A Georgia Girl in Germany. Friday, September 17, 2010. MacKenzie’s tooth activity called upon the Tooth Fairy once again last month when she lost another molar. She was hoping to lose the baby tooth just in front of it so the dentist doesn’t have to pull it to make room for her permanent teeth, but no such luck yet.it’s barely loose. She has two more weeks to loosen it and yank it before the dentist's turn. Posted by Pam @ 9/17/2010 10:14:00 PM. Comments: Post a Comment. View my complete profile. Moscow ...

A Georgia Girl in Germany: Loads of Fun at Lewes Beach
http://quarnocook.blogspot.com/2008/09/loads-of-fun-at-lewes-beach.html
A Georgia Girl in Germany. Monday, September 01, 2008. Loads of Fun at Lewes Beach. While we were in Delaware, we made a trek down to Lewes Beach for a day. The waves are very mild there, which makes it nice for the kids. Benjamin enjoyed playing in the water with Papa. They stayed out there quite a while - but they both seemed to have loads of fun. MacKenzie started out by doing her usual thing - digging in the sand. Zachary was a willing participant to be buried in the sand. What a good sport! Benjamin...

A Georgia Girl in Germany: First Day of School 2009
http://quarnocook.blogspot.com/2009/09/first-day-of-school-2009.html
A Georgia Girl in Germany. Saturday, September 05, 2009. First Day of School 2009. The kids started back to school on Monday (Aug 31), and I’m still in awe at how much they’ve grown and matured over the years. Benjamin is now in first grade - he’s no longer a Kindergartener. He’s also reading up a storm! He’ll sit and read chapter books all on his own! Zachary is in eighth grade - his last year before starting High School. Even though he’s still in Middle School, he’s taking two classes that will cou...

A Georgia Girl in Germany: Fourth Day of School
http://quarnocook.blogspot.com/2007/09/fourth-day-of-school.html
A Georgia Girl in Germany. Sunday, September 09, 2007. Fourth Day of School. The big difference in school this year is that Zachary is now in middle school, which also means he has to leave about 30 minutes before MacKenzie does so he can catch his bus. Good thing he’s an early riser! It’s hard for me to believe that I’m old enough for Zachary to be in 6th grade, and for MacKenzie to be in 4th grade. Wow! Posted by Pam @ 9/09/2007 05:25:00 PM. A Georgia Girl in Germany: Back to School
http://quarnocook.blogspot.com/2008/08/back-to-school.html
A Georgia Girl in Germany. Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Zachary and MacKenzie started school yesterday, and both had good days. They both decided that they wanted me to drive them to school instead of taking the bus, and I obliged since it’s a new school in a new town. However, we did drive by the bus stop so they could see where to go this morning. MacKenzie is now in the 5th grade (look how tall she is standing next to Zachary! When I picked them up, they both asked if I’d take them to Baskin Robbins for ...
