lifeaccordingtosusie

Saturday, March 10, 2007. I made my own drop ring mold with Kaiser Lee Board and rested that on top of kiln bricks. I made a 5 1/4" square piece- that I ended up fusing too long. The edges dog-eared. But I used it on the drop ring mold anyway. Then I lost control of the drop! I looked, it was sagging slightly.I waited 10 minutes and it was sagged like this. I was expecting mediocre things when I opened the kiln this morning. I was pleasantly surprised! Posted by susie kline @ 3/10/2007. It took me hours ...

lifeaccordingtosusie: September 2005

http://lifeaccordingtosusie.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 29, 2005. I Am A Yarn Ho. Yesterday I drove far away from my home to a yarn store. Not a craft store.an actual yarn store. I've been in two previously and found them mildly stimulating. Then I walked into Wool and Co. Wool and Co. is located in an old-fashioned main street type shopping area in Geneva, Illinois, near the Fox River. The stores are eclectic and all look loads of fun. I fell onto a cube filled with Classic Elite Yarns Flash. And pawed through to the bottom for the Lotus ...

lifeaccordingtosusie: Don't Let the Bead Bug Bite!

http://lifeaccordingtosusie.blogspot.com/2007/03/dont-let-bead-bug-bite.html

Monday, March 05, 2007. Don't Let the Bead Bug Bite! You read that right! Bead bug (not bed bug! I took a bead making class at United Art Glass. At the end of February. And I am hooked! I absolutely love the bead making process. The teacher was remarkable and taught the class clearly and concisely. His style of teaching really worked for me. I made the beads below at the class. I got this key chain (above) at the bead store. Splurged! The bead is so cool! This was the second one I made. I can't wait to m...

lifeaccordingtosusie: Kaiser Lee Board

http://lifeaccordingtosusie.blogspot.com/2007/01/kaiser-lee-board.html

Friday, January 12, 2007. I ordered some Kaiser Lee Board from Two Lasses around Christmas and just used it yesterday. Thank God I had safety glasses and a mask- because that stuff sure gets powdery and air borne! It cuts like butter with the putty knife that came with my KLB kit from Two Lasses. I made a simple square mold- just under 8" square, with a 1" lip, and 1" deep. I'm going to use the rest of the KLB to make a drop mold and a pendant mold. Posted by susie kline @ 1/12/2007. lifeaccordingtosusie: Wire Wrapping 101

http://lifeaccordingtosusie.blogspot.com/2006/12/wire-wrapping-101.html

Saturday, December 02, 2006. Here's my attempt at wire-wrapping. I made these triangle "Christmas trees" and they really needed something else. My friend Kelly suggested wire wrapping and adding beads. I got better as I went along. Now I have a few more to do! Posted by susie kline @ 12/02/2006. IL, United States. View my complete profile. lifeaccordingtosusie: March 2005

http://lifeaccordingtosusie.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 12, 2005. Goddess of the Good Poker Hand Worked! I finished my second doll. In time for my monthly poker game last Sunday. I didn't win anything- but I only lost $1.45. What I did have was. Of good poker hands. I was having a love affair with. Maybe I should have named the doll the "Goddess of the Winning Poke Hand.". Looked like spider man with the red tone on tone fabric. Is beaded again. I really like doing this. It took hours- somewhere between two and three! More about that next time!

Life According to Spud

Life According to Spud. Sunday, June 17, 2012. Spud's Week Jun 3-10. Spud had a dentist appointment. Two cavities, but they were ones we already knew about them, so it's okay. Getting them fixed later in the month. The TriCities Big Band was playing at the Pasco Farmer's Market. You may be able to see Daddy in the picture. :). Spud's favorite part of Farmer's Market? At the Fever game. We beat Wyoming. It was fun, though Spud was a bit pissy throughout. Spud and Grandma, hanging out at the game. A large ...

MFD: Why don’t we have a stamp so we can just stamp these? Me: Because we’re not the United States Postal Service. MFD: We can get a machine. Me: I'm so excited about the wifi. I renamed it after Dirty Dancing. Give me this small joy. MFD: Steph, do you know what they call this race? Me: Say it again? MFD: Push Butt race. See! Shit MFD Sa...

Life According to Stephanie. My Very first entry. Hello faithful readers this is exactly what I am going to say once I get a following for this blog… I mean, if I ever do get a following. You see, this blogging stuff is completely new to me. I have convinced myself that I want to blog I feel like it will be cathartic and that others will want to read what I write. Life According to St. Mark

Life According to St. Mark. Wednesday, October 10, 2012. The (Extra) Ordinary Story. The (Extra) Ordinary Story. All families have stories. If you look in photo albums, you can find people and places and stories that go with them…sometimes family and/or stories you’ve never heard of. Uncle John Gemini project (my uncle worked at NASA and I shared about how proud I was of that and how that shaped my bent toward science and learning). God’s family has some stories, too. They were ordinary people. We hardly...

Life According to T-Money

Life According to T-Money. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Scott Pioli just finished up his first trade. For the Chiefs, and I got to tell you, it is a great trade. We pick up Mike Vrabel(solid linebacker and locker room guy) and Matt Cassell(the QB we drastically needed), for only a 2nd round draft pick. I would say this is very successful, get a starting LB and QB for a 2nd round pick, can't go wrong. Monday, February 23, 2009. Boomer Sooner gets Rock Chalked! Sunday, February 15, 2009. Life, According to Tay | My crazy, indecisive journey..

Life, According to Tay. My crazy, indecisive journey. While I Was Gone. July 16, 2012 by Taylor. There’s a lot of exciting things in my life, as I have been gone for awhile — sorry about that! It’s getting close to classes to start for the fall semester, I cannot wait! I finally got all registered at my new university, and I should be able to graduate December 2013. Woohoo! Only 3 more semesters. so pumped. On top of all of that, I signed up to get my SCUBA certification. Thanks for stopping by! I receiv...

Life According to Taylor

Life According to Taylor. Monday, February 25, 2013. In my life, the Holy Spirit has guided me so much, and I don’t know where I would be without that help. A huge experience I had where the Holy Spirit was unmistakably part of the answer happened just last year. If knowing to stop and talk to this family wasn't miracle enough, within literally two minutes of chatting, the mom said that her daughter dealt with a lot of the same issues and she had a surgery for it and it changed her life. It is the protei...
