Life in Ohio

Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Noah and Jesus' mom. We read the Bible to Levi before he goes down for a nap and bed at night. His favorite character at this point is Noah. I think partly because his friend Hannah's oldest brother is named Noah so he can relate :) On the way to church on Sunday Levi was telling me about Noah and Jesus' mom. The Levi version of the Bible story went like this:. Jesus' mom was missing. We found her at Noah's house. She was upstairs getting ready for the party. I love that we liv...

Life in Ohio: July 2008

http://www.lifeinohio-elf.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 25, 2008. Cooking, the Zoo, the Park and more Movies! Wednesday I spent, what felt like, all afternoon in the kitchen. I was making homemade bread (with the bread maker. Basil and squash soup. Levi wanted to help cook. Yesterday, Thursday, I took Levi to the zoo and we met up with Aunt Kristen, Conner, Audrey and Kristen's mom, Kate. We had a great time seeing all the animals. Levi especially loved riding on the " cho. Train He also really liked the flamingos - "birdies" are always fun!

Thursday, September 4, 2008. Levi enjoyed looking at the pictures of "his baby". We tried to get him to say hi to the baby but he wasn't quite sure about that one :) Today he and I were looking at the ultrasound print outs and comparing how the new baby has the same body parts he has! Life in Ohio: January 2009

http://www.lifeinohio-elf.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Friday, January 30, 2009. Today I am recovering from the nasty stomach flu that has been going around. Levi had it for three days last week and Andy's had it since Sunday. I got it Wednesday night and yesterday Andy stayed home from work to take care of the boys so I could rest all day. Today he took Levi to Carrie's house so I could continue resting and hopefully get better faster. It's amazing how much easier it is to have just a newborn than a newborn and a toddler! Thursday, January 8, 2009. And I ha...

Thursday, August 28, 2008. So you may be asking yourself, why is Erica taking naps and not doing the zip line or ropes courses? Well it's because we are expecting baby #2! We are due on January 30, 2009. Levi will be 26 months old at that point so we'll be smack in the middle of the terrible-twos with a newborn. Not sure if this planning was a great idea or not :) Levi know about the baby and likes to lift up my shirt and give the baby kisses (zerberts) on my belly. So we'll wait again. And Andy on the r...

Life in Ohio: October 2008

http://www.lifeinohio-elf.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 20, 2008. We had a very busy weekend this past weekend. Levi and I went to Circle S Farms on Friday morning with MOPS friends. Levi got to see some animals, go through a hay bale maze, play in the hay in the "fun barn", go on a hayride and pick out a pumpkin! It was a very fun morning! Here are some cute pictures from the day. The home was able to come for lunch on Saturday and see everyone who worked on her home. It was such a neat experience. On her new piano. Woods - this really neat p...

growing up fouss: February 2013

http://growingupfouss.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 2, 2013. I was just cleaning out the basket in the kitchen that collects everything and found their stickers from the doctor when we went last March. Conner: (age 8) 49 1/2" and 64 lbs. I'm thinking he'll weigh less than that this year, mostly because of the medication he's now taking daily. It's definitely not because he isn't eating! Last night we had a late dinner at Chipotle after a boys' basketball game, and he downed a chicken bowl with no problems. He normally out-eats me.

growing up fouss: January 2011

http://growingupfouss.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 20, 2011. Today I woke up twice before 5:30 AM (well, three times if you count me getting up around midnight to take Audrey back to her bed). The first (second) was a phone call around 5:15 from New Richmond saying that they were cancelling for today. The second (third) was a surprising call from Forest Hills saying that they were cancelling. We'd had no snow. Or at least a delay. Seeing as how Monday was MLK Day, it could make for a nice 2-day week! Whose kid is this? The good was that...

growing up fouss: August 2010

http://growingupfouss.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 22, 2010. I ran in my second 5k yesterday morning (my first was in May). Everything was great and I was happy with how I did (28:12 - a little over 2.5 minutes off of my May time! But the funniest thing was something Conner said as I was getting ready to leave the house to go to run. Conner: Win the race! Me: Oh, I'm not going to win. There are going to be a lot of people. But I'm going to do my best. Conner: If you see a friend, say hi. Then run past them. Friday, August 20, 2010. We went...

growing up fouss: February 2011

http://growingupfouss.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 14, 2011. I hope this isn't a preview of what's to come, but I've been home from school 5 days with Audrey sick this year. I"m holding on to the idea that it's just because she's starting school and still getting adjusted to all of the "bugs" that are there. We had both kids' parent conferences at school last week and both are doing great! Audrey's teacher gave her a kindergarten readiness test (even though she has another year of preschool) which she did great on. The only recommend...

growing up fouss: July 2010

http://growingupfouss.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 30, 2010. What a day to forget the camera. Because Eric's in between projects at the house right now, he was willing to spend the day with me and the kids today. (Otherwise, it's tough to pull him away! It was supposed to be beautiful day today, so we narrowed it down to either the Zoo. Audrey wanted to go to KI, Conner to the zoo. I made the deciding vote on zoo just because we've spent a lot of time recently at KI and Eric hadn't been to the zoo in a while. On to snake #3. This was the...

http://growingupfouss.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 21, 2010. So I'm feeling really guilty about not keeping up with this blog lately! Shame on me. I'm going to do my best to think of every single little thing that's happened in the last month. (Ha! The team overall wasn't great - we won one game but showed improvement throughout the year. Our last two games (in the tournament) were their best ones; we lost the last game 1-0 in double overtime. It was a nailbiter! I think all involved were ready for the season to be over. 6 We haven't ha...

growing up fouss: March 2011

http://growingupfouss.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 26, 2011. We just got home from the doctor for Conner and Audrey's annual checkups. Can you believe they're 4 and 7 now? Crazy What's weirdest for me to think is that when Conner was 4, Audrey was 1. What a different life it was! Both kids checked out great! Here are the details:. Conner is now 54 lbs and 48" tall (both 50th percentile). He should be tall enough to ride some of the big rides at Kings Island. This summer - something he's been looking forward to! He lost #3 this week! We're...

Life in Ohteyko | an escapism occasionally fraught with danger

An escapism occasionally fraught with danger. December 12, 2009. One night when I was five years old, we drove past a house that was on fire. The fire made the rest of the scene seem so much blacker- the only thing I could see was the fire. Dark orange. It was all through the house, it must have been, because it was spewing out of both the front windows, tendrils a metre and a half high. The front door was a just a rectangle through which fire glowed at the edges. Biology notes II: safe and sound. I used...

Today, my brother. Accepted Jesus as his Savior and Lord! If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.". 聖書はこう言っています。「彼に信頼する者は、失望させられることがない。」. God our Savior who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. If anyone ...
