Liberated - Misadventures in Taiwan. Sunday, October 09, 2005. Day 15 - 27/09/05 - Die Ants Die! Platoon training had many breaks and long periods where we would have nothing to do. During one such time the whole lot of us were seated in the tentage waiting for the briefing. Some were sleeping, some staring into space and others were talking away. I looked at the ground. Liberated - Misadventures in Taiwan. Sunday, October 23, 2005. Day 19 - 01/10/05 - Booze, Cigarettes and Pornography. The cigarettes in Taiwan are cheaper as compared to Singapore. And guess what? I recalled how my friend says I have 'no life' just because I go to church and cell group every week, leaving little time to go out with my other friends. Come on, what is life? Does going clubbing or pubbing automatically constitute 'life'? Posted by Terence @ 11:28 AM. Saturday, October 22, 2005. We were told...

Liberated - Misadventures in Taiwan. Thursday, October 20, 2005. Day 19 - 01/10/05 - Start of R and R. But she sure did her job well, covering what we need to know about Taiwan: where to go, what mode of transportation to take, what to avoid and so on and so forth. The tour guide and the movie on-board kept us entertained on a otherwise dull journey, and before we knew it we were at our first destination: Xiao Ren Guo. View more photos here. http://lifeoflibertytaiwan.blogspot.com/2005/10/day-19-011005-leofoo-village.html
Liberated - Misadventures in Taiwan. Friday, October 21, 2005. Day 19 - 01/10/05 - Leofoo Village. This was to be the highlight of the day. As the bus approaches its destination, a huge arabian palace could be seen beyond the expressway, akin to the ones we see in. It's not real of course, but it gave me a sense eager anticipation. It's like going to Disneyland. Well, Taiwan's version of disneyland. But it didn't disappoint. In fact it was going to be the highlight of the entire day. It was something I h...

Liberated - Misadventures in Taiwan. Friday, November 04, 2005. Day 20 - 02/10/05 - Xi Men Ding. After the typhoon came very good news. Just the night before it was raining very heavily as we slumbered in our beds. Looking outside the window of my room I saw the dark clouds moving very swiftly, casting a dull greyish hue on the buildings below. The antenna just outside our hotel room had been displaced - collapsed to be exact. But that was the night before. Xi Men Ding is equivalent to Singapore's Orchar...

Liberated - Misadventures in Taiwan: Day 1 - 13/09/05 - Nice Surprises
http://lifeoflibertytaiwan.blogspot.com/2005/10/day-1-130905-nice-surprises.html
Liberated - Misadventures in Taiwan. Tuesday, October 04, 2005. Day 1 - 13/09/05 - Nice Surprises. The toilet contained many nice little surprises, both good and bad. The pipes clog easily, so toilet paper cannot be dumped into the toilet bowl. Rather, litter bins are provided in each cubicles to dispose of them properly. Too bad for those in charge of cleaning the toilets. Note: Later I found out that HCG. Posted by Terence @ 8:04 PM. View my complete profile. Back to Main Blog.

http://lifeoflibertytaiwan.blogspot.com/2005/10/day-1-130905-missing-necessities.html
Liberated - Misadventures in Taiwan. Tuesday, October 04, 2005. Day 1 - 13/09/05 - Missing Necessities. We reached camp at the crack of dawn, our new home for the next three weeks. Facilities looked decent, not as bad as what I had initially thought. Everything was going smoothly so far, at least until the time when my coursemate's bag got mistakenly taken by someone else. But that was a minor hiccup issue. Posted by Terence @ 6:58 PM. View my complete profile. Back to Main Blog.
