Sharing Our Gift: Flashback :: Park Playtime
http://cohns.blogspot.com/2012/03/flashback-park-playtime.html
Flashback : Park Playtime. In the midst of the cold January weather, we found a small pocket of sunshine and headed to the park. Jonathan loved having an hour or so to just run wild, and even made some friends! Mommy and Daddy thought their fingers might freeze off, but fortunately they didn't. :) The first thing Jonathan headed for? The slide, of course! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Taking it all in. A photo by Christine Cohn. Sorry I haven't posted in forever! We're still here and we're still having lots of fun! Because of some computer glitches and changes, and being out of town or just plain busy, we haven't had much time to write or update. I promise something is coming! I still owe you pictures from two trips to Disneyland! On top of that, we had a fantastic day at one of Eugene's biggest parks on Monday that I'll share about AND swimming lessons! New Season, New Places, New Home. Now that it's been several months since our last post, I'm not sure if I should start where I left off, or start anew with where we are now. For now, we are so happy to be at the start of a brand new phase . . . school! He's just plain irresistible. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our Small Hours: Day to Day with the Cohns. Oregon Coast and Eugene Science Factory Day. Jonathan jumped into their hands-on displays right away, learning about the inner workings of toys, testing gravity with wooden cars, playing with magnets, checking out mazes, and more. There were lots of activities for him to enjoy . . . for about an hour. Wow were we expecting something different! Historic Florence Bridge carries Highway 101 over the Siuslaw River. Our first big stop: BJ's Homemade Ice Cream Shop. Yummy. We had so much fun! Out of everything...

Sharing Our Gift: Flashback :: Washington's Snowmageddon 2012 (pt II)

Flashback : Washington's Snowmageddon 2012 (pt II). After our beautiful day in the snow, we had planned on departing only a couple of days later. Little did we know what we were in for. The next morning we work up to Icemageddon! The snow was covered in a good 1/4-1/2" of solid ice. The ground, car, trees, shrubs, flowers . . . everything was encased in ice! It was magical to see, but not exactly safe for traveling. So, we stayed put and took in the sights. Ice Jonathan was thrilled! Needless to say, he'...

Merry Christmas, dear family and friends! Today, we come and worship Christ, the Newborn King. We hope that you do, too. Flashback: Post-Football Game Fun. They did quite a dance together before heading to bed. They had to get their sleep. Morning comes early for them, and apparently Caden thought things might get rough . . . The dads took the kiddos to a nearby park, giving the moms a bit of kid-free time at Bridgeport Village. They kids had a blast together, as always . . . Nice cheesy grin, kiddo!

Christmas Eve at Great Grandma's. As January is drawing to a close, I thought I'd try to wrap up our Christmas memories on here! So, here's to a busy couple of days here as I try to catch up. Christmas Eve was spent with Daddy's side of the family. Great Grandma Norma played hostess to the whole gang and spoiled us with Swedish meatballs and lots of other yummy treats. Jonathan loved all of the goodies, Great Grandma's bears, and especially the fun presents! Baby, It's Cold Outside! Moms had a great time...

Flashback : Washington's Snowmageddon 2012 (pt I). When news hit that the Puget Sound region was going to be hit with a major snowstorm . . . the biggest one since the '80s — a certain Snowmageddon, Jonathan and Mommy hit the road and headed north for an adventure! By the time we went to bed we already had three inches. We awoke to this:. It was absolutely beautiful! He couldn't wait to make snow angels, snowballs, and snowmen. Unfortunately, it was the wrong snow for a snowman, and he could barely p...

October Days Are Pink Days. When most of us are dreaming of all things orange, I wanted to take this chance to remind you that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. If you are one of the women in our lives, please please please make sure you do your monthly check or schedule your annual mammogram right away! Last weekend, I had the privilege to walk in my first Race for the Cure with Jonathan's beautiful Gamma. She looks AMAZING in pink, doesn't she? He even got in the spirit of the morning by steali...

Jonathan's Big Boy Bed. A flashback post here. Jonathan had a very exciting January. He moved into his big boy bed! I'm sure most kids are well into them by the time they are four, but Jonathan just didn't want to give up his crib-turned-toddler bed. He loved it so much (and still asks for it back every once in a while). But a two-week visit to Gamma and Gampa's changed everything. Jonathan slept in the bed that was Mommy's when I was in college. It is one of the most comfy beds ever! What a sight it was...
