This was a well attended event with around 100 or so tents and three tarps at the camp site and a lot of new ones on display. Lots of familiar faces and some fellow bloggers as well. Monday, 19 March 2012. The woman in the picture below was 70 years old when it was taken. She still worked and walked 7 or 8 miles a day, every day, whatever the weather. She'd travelled over 50 miles (2 buses) to arrive at the appointed place and time, dressed for the occasion. That was 3 and a half years ago. Friday, 31 December 2010. It's been a quick year. Highlight was getting married to my beautiful Mrs, closely followed by the birth of our beautiful grandson. Very little outdoor stuff happened. Quietest year in the last decade, in fact. Two or three bits of kit bought and a whole lot more sold on. I've little or no interest in such things right now but that may well change in the coming year. We'll see. But this year is nearly done and there's a new one waiting just over the horizon. I walked from Land's End to John o'Groats starting on 5 April 2009 and finished on 13 June 2009, raising over £4,000 for MS Research and Relief Fund in the process. I posted to this blog every day. Söndag 8 mars 2015. Testar om det fortfarande fungerar att blogga från mobilen :). Måndag 2 mars 2015. Jag har i tanken planerat en ”longstay” under flera år. Men det har kommit saker i vägen, cancer med behandlingar, en oväntad (men ack så önskad) graviditet, nytt jobb osv. Men så kom min favoritserie på svenska ”Familjer på äventyr” (har skrivit om den engelska versionen här. Lite snack om bröst :). Jättenyfikna på resultatet (eller inte.), men jag lägger ut en bild ändå :). 10 veckor efter operation.
