She promises Wilbur that she will save his life, and she does, and he gets to live a long and happy life, but of course first he had to have some bad news come his way. So Charlotte writes in her web "SOME PIG" and Wilbur's life is spared. I think of it like, if that didn't happen.then what would? Why did the author do it this way? Even in the very end of the book, when Charlotte dies, something good happens after. OF COURSE! 814 And a Few More.

Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Charlotte's Web is beautiful. What I really admire about Charlotte's Web by E.B. White, is the descriptions that the author uses. There is poetic language, that paints a picture in the reader's mind, better explaining the story. The metaphors and symbolism represent something deeper than just a story of friendship, but of life itself. Page 113: The crickets sang in the grasses. They sang the song of summer's ending, a sad, monotonous song. Although they are in separate sent...

Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Little Women by Louisa May ALcott: Final reading Response. Things were quite a mess because no one was doing their chores. They became lazy and cleaned messes sometimes by "whisking the litter under the sofa" (Alcott 171). They also "shut the blinds, to save the trouble of dusting" (Alcott 171). The dishes piled up and after a while they got bored of lounging all day. Posted by Gabrielle Gautier. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Oh No You Didn't! What am i gonna write.

It's Time to Blog. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Final Draft of Reading Response. When reading the book The Lovely Bones, just from the first page you can feel the suspense come in as the beginning sentences state, “My name was Salmon, like the fish; first name Susie. I was fourteen when I was murdered on December 6. 1973” I like how the author structured this because she just came right out with the point, instead of the reader having to wait for what the topic of the book was. Guinea Pig Virtual Pet.

Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Posted by Gabrielle Gautier. Mother to Son Response (Entry #8). This poem by Langston Hughes really highlights the hardships that we all face. The "crystal stair" in the poem, I believe represents, the good life. As the poem goes on, it becomes a more happy poem. In the beginning, the mother talks about how she struggled through her life, but in conclusion, she states that her son should never stop going and climbing the "stairs". I won't stop climbing the stairs,. As I climb,.
