Thursday, August 21, 2014. So Yesterday was unexpectedly emotional. Not really sure where it came from, cause I've been so excited for today to come, and Beth is SO ready for Pre-K. But, for some reason (aka Karen! I had a rough day yesterday. Not surprisingly, Beth did not. Which made me super proud of her, and made me realize that she is growing up. BUT - - I wasn't quite ready to tell her wonderful preschool teachers good bye yesterday. ME! Beth was fine, but I was a mess! Beth has been collecting roc...

Friday, May 24, 2013. This year's school term has come to a close. I have been blessed with the three most wonderful children. I was reflecting on their growth and accomplishments last night, as I was looking through their full backpacks last night. I think I will share some of my realizations with you today. Nick - Wow, that kid is so much like me in some ways! I was reading through his list of "likes" last night, and he put his favorite subject is Math. And he loves to read. Sound familiar? At the end ...

Hansen Family: Counting down
http://amber-hansenfamily.blogspot.com/2014/05/counting-down.html
Thursday, May 22, 2014. With school winding down, most people are counting down to summer. I've seen tons of posts on facebook about when school is getting out, how many days till summer vacation, and how long before the pool opens. I totally get this. Oh, well. At least she's excited. We have been planning thi...

Hansen Family: January 2014
http://amber-hansenfamily.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 30, 2014. A large part of the food that I have always eaten has been fruits and veggies. I remember growing up and there always being two veggies with dinner and always an assortment of fruit on the counter and in the fridge. And it wasn't just the apples and bananas, we had all different kinds. I can also remember almost always having a garden growing up, with lots of ready-to-eat produce just calling my name. A huge thank you to all my awesome volunteers, whom I couldn't live without!
