Living in Langedom

Thursday, March 23, 2017. Simple Toddler Watch Cap. This is a basic watch cap that I threw together for the munchkin a few weeks ago. Little hats are a great projects because they're quick to knit up and they don't take much yarn so they're great for using up scraps! For this hat I used Cascade Yarns Alpaca Lana D'Oro. In Charcoal and have been very pleased with it. The alpaca makes it incredibly soft and it's very warm. I may have to use the rest of the skein to make myself something cozy! But now sadly...

Living in Langedom: December 2010

http://www.livinginlangedom.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 2, 2010. What day is it again? Ah, December. You're here already? This is quite a surprise. I didn't expect you for a few more weeks at least. Here are a few things I've been loving this week:. The only Christmas album I can honestly say I love. My mind is going crazy with ideas for other things to paint those designs on. The most ridiculous shoes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Truth Universally Acknowledged: 33 Great Writers on Why We Read Jane Austen. A Dance with Dragons.

Living in Langedom: Run 2015: January

http://www.livinginlangedom.com/2015/02/run-2015-january.html

Thursday, February 5, 2015. Alright, peeps. Welcome to Run 2015 January edition. I'll be keeping my running posts sweet and simple this year. One per month with additional race posts as desired. I don't actually have any races planned at this point but I'm hoping to maintain my half marathon base throughout the year as much as possible. Who knows? That might come back to bite me in the ass but for now I'm loving the freedom of not running much/at all! 311 in 31:41, average 10:11. Race Like seriously, ser...

Living in Langedom: February 2010

http://www.livinginlangedom.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 23, 2010. I'm determined not to let this get to me though. I'm trying to stay positive and do what I can when I can, even if it's not on my 'list'. One of the things I've always been ashamed of is that I can't do pushups. Not even one. I can do the baby pushups where you're on your knees. But the real pushups where you're on your toes? Lol Probably not but a girl can hope, right? I really am trying to take things slowly. But I'm so impatient! Some thing's never change. Links to this post.

Living in Langedom: Welcome February!

http://www.livinginlangedom.com/2015/02/welcome-february.html

Tuesday, February 3, 2015. We got 12 inches of fresh snow on February 1st and it was the perfect thing to get my month off to a good start. I'm not much of one for new years resolutions. I need time to think these things through and that one week between christmas and new years isn't near enough time to get my priorities straightened out. But February 1st? So without further ado, here's February's list of goals:. Paint the guest room. I think we've finally picked a color for this room (yay! That I need t...

Living in Langedom: Passive Solar

http://www.livinginlangedom.com/2015/01/passive-solar.html

Thursday, January 8, 2015. Everyone loves sunshine and free heat is awesome! Look at all that sunlight! Our house was built in 1968 by Justin grandparents and was built for comfort according to 1960s standards. That included a boiler in the basement with hot water baseboards but did not. Of which open. The front of the house faces north and the main living areas of the house are all on the south side. There are eight southern windows and they let in a significant amount of light and heat. Our house from ...

Living in Langley - Notes from an Island

Living in Langley - Notes from an Island. Sunday, March 3, 2013. Not Just A Pretty Face. I adore all things British. I came out as an Anglophile many years ago, back in the Princess Di days. My Christmas china is from England. My stove and pots and pans are from England. I even went there once. (Well, my plane touched down at Heathrow briefly en route to Italy. Does that count? But here he was looking out at me from the cover of his latest book, Cook with Jamie, My Guide to Making You a Better Cook.
