Living that Southern kind of life. Kimchi and Kite Fights. I want him to love learning, so that’s what we are fostering right now – and he did love South Korea week. We stamped our passport, boarded our plane and used the globe to navigate us across the sea to South Korea. We learned about features of the land and the language and customs. Our favorite books this week were the Kite Fightersby Linda Sue Parks, My Name. Children Just Like Me. This week’s excitement is a trip to Japan! We’re going to ...

Living that Southern kind of life. Let the Expedition begin! So what’s a mommy to do when her 4-year-old is so obsessed with battle and war that she can’t take it anymore? She stops teaching about it… sort of. We still read whatever books Tater wants to read in our post-school time, but for our main course of study, we’ve swapped to a World Geography curriculum. On the whole I’m excited to see what this year brings, but nervous at the same time, even though I feel like we’ve been homeschooling for so long already. New Year’s Day.

Living that Southern kind of life. Welcome to – You are now leaving Japan. We took two weeks to visit Japan since the first week was cut a little short by previous obligations and a wonderfully relaxing trip for this Mommy. Unfortunately, since I came home I just can’t seem to get my head back in the game. We did lots of reading-centered learning. 8221; I told him I was pretty sure it was something in Dubai, UAE, but it used to be the Sears Tower and before that was the World Trade Center. To which h...
