Living in the Really Real. Navigating Sobriety with the Compass of Faith. Newer posts →. Life is an Assault. March 28, 2015. Recently, I took one of those online self-assessments for adult ADHD. One of the questions that is stuck in my mind was, “Do you often feel assaulted when asked to do just one more thing? 8221; At the time, I remember letting out an affirmative sigh mixed with a victorious yelp. Like, Oh my God, are you kidding me? Yes, yes, yes! Finally, someone understands! Fast forward to now.

Living in the Really Real. Navigating Sobriety with the Compass of Faith. Boundaries and Forgiveness: Under Construction. Life on Life’s Terms →. May 14, 2016. I had a pity party the other day. C’mon, we all are guilty of this once in awhile! What will I say when people come up to me asking where I was? Then something awesome happened. I started making a mental gratitude list. And for that, I’m grateful. This entry was posted in addiction. Boundaries and Forgiveness: Under Construction.

Getting Sober and Staying That Way. Step Up to the Mic. Living Without Regrets →. August 14, 2015. A dragon, after all). I laughed and said that probably wouldn’t happen, but I won’t drink alcohol just in case. I have to admit, part of me would like to see this go down. For now, it’s time to don regalia and greet the in-coming freshman class. I just wish it was sixty or so degrees outside. I’m ready for fall, which sometimes comes quite late this far in the South. Ah, well. Step Up to the Mic. Lush Color...

My Story | Recovery 101

https://recovery101blog.wordpress.com/my-story

Getting Sober and Staying That Way. I began drinking alcohol at age 17 and continued doing so socially throughout college and into graduate school. I checked myself into a treatment center for an eight-week program. I spent two weeks meeting during the day with counselors and fellow addicts and alcoholics, and then I attended six weeks ...You a...
