San Francisco Days: May 2009

http://www.lizinsf.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

May 27, 2009. Family time and SF Giants. I had family visit over Memorial Day weekend, which was great. Adam and I got to show them our favorite spots in the city, including a visit to Coit Tower (where we got engaged). We ate a lot and mainly walked a lot. My mom was disappointed that high heels were a no-no here which I thought was funny. She wore sneakers and she thanked me later =). This was at Dino's on Filmore. Dino gave us an entire bottle of wine.on the house! May 21, 2009. We went to the annual ...

San Francisco Days: March 2009

http://www.lizinsf.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

March 30, 2009. They weather has been pretty nice around here. I love the city especially when its sunny outside. Its beautiful! This last weekend was spent outside mostly. I am officially a freelance makeup artist now, as I had my first job in Walnut Creek. It was great. The three women who's makeup I did were very nice and it was good experience for me. Aside from that, Adam and I spend a lot of time outdoors, and enjoying the days. Yep - its still too cold to wear a bathing suit! On a different day.

December 16, 2008. I just changed the settings here so anyone - not only gmail addresses can leave a comment. December 14, 2008. Its officially COLD in the city. Ok, so I knew the weather was too good to be true for so long, we truly had pretty great weather, until yesterday. Wow, was it cold! The good thing though is that it really makes it feel like Christmas time, and so its time for scarfs, hats, warm coats, Uggs, and a delicious hot drink to hold in your hands. Green chi tea.Mmmmm. http://thehoffmanchronicles.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 21, 2010. 21 weeks and counting. Wow, 21 weeks have gone by already! Our little girl will be here before we know it. Yesterday I met up with Joe's cousins to hit a big children's consignment sale. We all went to one about a month ago, but not knowing what the sex was made it hard to pick things out. But this time I found a few things. I picked up a lock for the toilet seat super cheap and brand new! All of this for $30! Well here is the "real deal" picture. Have a great weekend everyone!

Friday, March 25, 2011. Joe and I prayed a lot about this part of his schooling/transition, and He provided for us. We were also blessed again to have our things stored at our friends parents storage area. We are beyond thankful for alllll the help we have been given. This allows us to take out less money from student loans. Quite a load taken off our shoulders. April 30th, 2011, Joe will be GRADUATING! Kate is almost 6 months old. That's half way to a year old! Ugh this is going so fast! We are now work...

http://kahlsweetsurprise.blogspot.com/2011/02/first-haircut.html

What a Sweet Surprise Nathan Alexander Kahl. Sunday, February 20, 2011. I figured since Nathan will be 14 months old tomorrow.2/21. it was finally time for his first haircut. I took him to Tanas to see my stylist Kym, whom I've gone to since 1998. It was special to have her do this for me. She is pregnant and is due in 4 weeks so it was especially important to get this done before her maternity leave. Nathan did awesome! February 20, 2011 at 2:35 PM. It looks like he did great! Wednesday, September 15, 2010. If you know me, you know I am a planner. And not knowing when our baby girl will make her big debut into the world is hard! The countdown says about 15 more days, we'll see. I am completely exhausted lately. I wonder if I will get that burst of energy before labor starts or not. Good thing is, I will know if I do because I am running on empty at the moment. For those that are wondering about my progress, (if you don't mind TMI read on.). Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Joe, Becky and Kate: September 2009

http://thehoffmanchronicles.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Joe and I decided to take a day trip to the Oregon Coast. It was a beautiful drive out. It takes about 2 hours to get there, we use to live 3 miles from the ocean, big change for us! We went to Tillamook, they make our favorite cheese! It was perfect weather for the trip, sunny and cool. We stopped at the Tillamook cheese factory, got some ice cream and cheese samples and bought cheese curd which you can only get there. Never had that and loved it! Monday, September 7, 2009.

Second Star To The Right...

Second Star To The Right. Thursday, June 25, 2009. Since my last post, I have to say that life has been quite eventful in Mauritania. Before I get to the negative, I’ll talk a bit about my trip to Mali. We all had seats going to Bamako, about a 6 hour ride. So, 22 hours after leaving Kiffa, we arrived in Bamako! 8221; “Thank you so much for coming! 8221; They were apologizing to US for their team losing! The ride took about 45 minutes to get back to the hotel. When the guy dropped us off, we asked hi...

From the Inside Out

From the Inside Out. Sunday, February 2, 2014. Faith, Fear, and Loneliness. I know I haven't written anything in a long time, but I figured even if there is no one still reading this blog, I would post something I've been thinking about lately. As I've sought to learn how I can do this, I have felt moments of fear —. We can feel hopeless. But, even when it seems life can't get any worse or unstable, we can know we are not alone when we search for our Father in heaven and Savior in prayer. Every season, I...

Liz in Spain 2010

Liz in Spain 2010. Saturday, December 11, 2010. Today was the last full day of our trip! We decided to start the day by heading up to the castle. Following that short break we headed back out before it started to get cold and dark again. We headed in the direction we hadn't gone before where we had seen a big building that was lit up as an advent calendar. They were big indoor shopping malls (and warm) so we wandered around and explored that for a while. Today was our first of 2 full days in Prague!
