A Blog on the Landscape! Friday, May 29, 2015. Ben Tianavaig. Marilyn 414m. Rain and hail clattered the house windows and swiftly followed by sun and blue sky. We are getting all seasons each hour. It makes for fantastic dramatic sky's and beautiful panaramas. We had been looking at the fine shape of Ben Tianavaig throughout the week and wanted to go up it before leaving Skye for the mainland. A rainbow loomed over Portree and the white houses shone brightly. The top is a magnificent viewpoint and we are...

Steve Croft was in the bunk above me and I heard him packing up and clearing out as I thought, at around 4.00am. So it was a bit of a surprise when I saw him in reception around 8.30am. http://alanrayneroutdoors.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
A Blog on the Landscape! Thursday, November 27, 2014. A passing interest worth sharing. While i was consoling myself at the failure of the Montane Minimus Mountain jacket, i searched the web to see what other folk had been saying. During that endeavour i came across what i considered to be a very interesting piece on a Gear review site called Blister. I had not come across this before but having read quite a few pieces within it i thought it was put together rather well and the reviews were excellent.

When I first came to Bradford 13 years ago Manchester road was my first view of the city. It didnt inspire any great happiness in my new home. Not much has changed. I dont mean to...
