The Green Teamster: December 2012
http://thegreenteamster.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 21, 2012. Park Street Wagon Rides a Success! This year's wagon rides were great. It's always a lot of work getting ready for these. The horses need shoes, and wagon needs to be decorated, the harnesses need to be cleaned, and let's not forget about making sure the horses are in good shape to perform the work. Each year this is a lot of work, but each year thus far, the results have been great. Cindy Ferguson and her girls meeting Pam after she was unloaded. That is one happy girl! Off we...

The Green Teamster: A Happy 2015 to all y'all!!

Tuesday, January 6, 2015. A Happy 2015 to all y'all! Things have been going alright out at our place. I'll try to be brief and catch everyone up on what's been going on in my neck of the woods. Pam was leased out as a broodmare for the year. She is currently living life as the diva she is. Stalled, blankets when its cold, fed twice a day - she's gonna hate coming back to live on the farm. She's bred and expecting a foal this next spring. Plans for Phase 1 of my barn. All Poles in the ground. This year I ...

The Green Teamster: Rachael
http://thegreenteamster.blogspot.com/p/rachael.html
Foaled: May 1st, 1994. Velbert's Bonnie Du Marais. After I lost Lily, Pam was my only horse for a few months. Then Kim Wright, a friend who runs a rescue, asked if there were any horses at her rescue that I might like. Right away I answered that I would love to see Rachael. Rachael is the kind of horse that you can pull up out of the pasture after months of not being used, and she is instantly ready to go. She had decent training already, and I worked her with Pam to form the dream team. These tw...Racha...

The Green Teamster: June 2015
http://thegreenteamster.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 18, 2015. It's been a bit so I figured I'd better check in. Especially so I can show off the barn! I did get the metal on it and I'm very happy with it! I still need to finish trimming it out, but it's working great! I left one section open so that I could feed through it if I needed. A view from the back. I did add gutter on this side a few days after this picture. So there you have it . Stage 1 of my 3 stage barn is complete. 7 total geese now thanks to 4 grown babies. I plan on doing as...

The Green Teamster: June 2013

Thursday, June 20, 2013. The Taste of Defeat - My Horses Weren't Ready. It's been a week and a half now, and I've had time to recover and lick my wounds. I'd appreciate any feedback anyone has on my experience. So June 8th, I went down to Terrell for the Antique Tractor Show and Tractor Pull. This is my 3rd year going down to this event, and not only is it a well run event, but it also gives me the chance to spend a day with some of my best friends, Mark and Bev McGowan of the Double M Warhorse Ranch.

The Green Teamster: Buck
http://thegreenteamster.blogspot.com/p/buck.html
Foaled: February 20th, 2008. I drove down and picked him up. It shocked me how much like his mother he looks. His coloring is just like hers, besides the wide blaze that he has. He's a pretty boy, and has some good ground manners as well. I think I'm going to like having him around. Buck is a gelding, and stands at 16 hands tall. The mares - checking out the new guy. The Green Teamster: December 2013
http://thegreenteamster.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 3, 2013. It's been a while since I updated the blog, and there's a good reason for it . . . I haven't been doing too much in my estimation. But after a good prodding from my sweet mother, I figured I'd better keep people in the loop of my on-goings. It's a great sense of accomplishment to have that done. HOWEVER, all that time working on school has to be taken from family, life, and horses. This is Buck on his first trail ride! I stayed in the saddle the whole ride . not bad. Another th...

The Green Teamster: Pam
http://thegreenteamster.blogspot.com/p/pam.html
Foaled: April 1st, 1996. We decided to try it out, and see how these girls did together. The results were amazing. The girls got along perfect. Lily was lead mare #1, and Pam came in as the submissive mare, so they fell into a nice herd instantly. Pam will stay on my farm the rest of her life. She means that much to me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). In Loving Memory of Lily. This Blog is dedicated to Lily. Lily was my first horse, and she taught me more about working horses than any book could've. ...Jodi ...
