Creating craft to Make A Difference
A sewing machine… | MAD GIRLS
https://madcraftgirls.wordpress.com/2011/02/03/beginning
Creating craft to Make A Difference. A sewing machine…. By MAD. 1. 8220; MAD Girls started with a sewing machine. I read the story of a missionary woman in India who was saying that if she could have sewing machines for the widows, she could teach them how to make a living. She put out a call to ask people to send money. I felt so strongly that we have so much, and they have so little. I had to do something! So I invited a group of friends to a special afternoon tea and poured out my heart.
The Starfish Principle | MAD GIRLS
https://madcraftgirls.wordpress.com/the-starfish-principle
Creating craft to Make A Difference. We can do it! We have done it! We believe in the starfish principle, and trust that our efforts will make a difference to someone, somewhere in the world which makes our craft days even more enjoyable. See the story, which has many different versions, below:. Adapted from ‘the Starthrower’ by Loren Eiseley. 8220;I’m saving the starfish,” the child replied. 8220;Why waste your time? 8230; There are so many you can’t save them all so what does is matter? Creating craft to Make A Difference. Craft revival – starting with ‘Craft for Congo’. By MAD. 1. Since our little band of ‘Mad Girls’ disbanded some time ago, there has been little to blog about. However, I have decided to use this blog to promote craft ideas and activities which still support the ideology with which it started – including ‘Craft for Congo’, supporting orphans in the Democratic Republic of the Congo through Congo Aid Inc. Playing with jewellery | MAD GIRLS
https://madcraftgirls.wordpress.com/2011/04/23/jewellery
Creating craft to Make A Difference. By MAD. 1. As others in the group practise their specialities in sewing and papercraft, I have played with different types of beads to make items for our sale. Acrylic beads - a find from Beadazzled, Caloundra. Hopefully, I have found some ideas and mixed together some colours and textures that will appeal to others who come to our afternoon tea next weekend. Here’s a few more samples: (click on the photos for a larger view). With shell, pumice and faceted beads.

Creating craft to Make A Difference. By MAD. 1. We were invited, as potential stallholders, to a gathering just before Christmas, at the Gnadenfrei Lutheran Church at Chester Hill. Each year, the church has a Christmas bazaar which we have now attended for several years. Not that we others don’t enjoy the day – it’s a day full of good food, music, dance performances and good cheer.). Here’s a sample of some the goods we sold there:. 8211; Christmas craft – such as runners, decorations. Are we really MAD?

I love everything crafty, whimsical and vintage . Thursday, January 10, 2013. Yep the madcrafter is baaaaack! Hope you miss me . ;). I wanted to start the new year with something worth sharing, and I think the following story would fit just nicely. Ooookay, so first, I thought about the stuff she loves the most - soft toys, so one possible 'future' outcome of these wraps could be one of these. So I scoured the internet to look for a cute, whimsical bunny pattern on the internet and voila! With my (very) ...

The Mad Crafting Mama | The everyday ramblings of a proud, busy, crafty, creative, single, and bipolar mom.
The Mad Crafting Mama. The everyday ramblings of a proud, busy, crafty, creative, single, and bipolar mom. The Mother of All Makeovers- A Vintage Handmade Kitchen table set. August 29, 2016. I’m super super excited about this makeover project! It’s old and tacky but has character and it’s just the right size for my small kichen which currently has a big oval pedestal table that’s taking up far too much room. So I saw this little thing on a buy and sell group on Facebook Friday night for a wonderful $30!
