The Classroom: Another Bailout?!!??
http://stevensclassroom.blogspot.com/2008/12/another-bailout.html
Wednesday, December 3, 2008. These companies didn't just magically fail, they have been failing for a while. I think in order for them to receive a bailout they need to be totally restructured. Somewhere along the lines like Toyota who is the number one auto seller and is doing very successful despite a weak economy. December 4, 2008 at 12:04 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Texas, O Texas: A Demand for the Fine Arts
http://texasotexas.blogspot.com/2009/04/demand-for-fine-arts.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2009. A Demand for the Fine Arts. To be honest, I looked this up with very pessimistic assumptions. I am very surprised that the law does require Texas school districts to offer classes in fine arts. However, I am going to have to sound ungrateful: I don’t believe their requirement is enough. And how did it make you feel? It couldn’t hurt. After all, we can spend $17 million on a house for the governor. Right? April 20, 2009 at 3:11 PM. The author main argument comes from personal pas...

The Classroom: Police State!
http://stevensclassroom.blogspot.com/2008/12/police-state.html
Tuesday, December 9, 2008. I too agree with Steven Le, the government needs to halt all warrantless wiretappings. 8220;If the government believes warrantless wiretapping is fine by any means, there's no telling what they are going to do next. Before you know it, we won't have any privacy whatsoever. I believe something needs to be done before it gets out of hand.” Who knows maybe the next thing they’ll do is take away the 2nd amendment. Texas, O Texas: Stop the Loss
http://texasotexas.blogspot.com/2009/02/stop-loss.html
Wednesday, February 18, 2009. I want to introduce an article written by Richard Whittaker called Stop the Loss: Austin Veterans Turn Away from Iraq and War. Whittaker also writes about two other soldiers, Benjamin Hart Viges and Ronn Cantu, and their experiences as a veteran. He also addresses the many tactics, aka tricks, the government uses to reel people into enlisting, as well as forcing them to stay. Why won’t other soldiers speak up? This is best described by Ronn Cantu, a veteran living in Austin:.

Government n' Texas: Texas should beware strings in stimulus
http://ejalapeno-txgov.blogspot.com/2009/03/texas-should-beware-strings-in-stimulus.html
Monday, March 2, 2009. Texas should beware strings in stimulus. 8220;Texas would be silly to turn down the money,” writes the author in the February 25th edition of the Dallas Morning News. Referring to the stimulus plan offered by the federal government, he explains that despite the fact that while many state figures oppose such a bill, it would not be in the best interest of the state to decline such funds.
