Reviews | Making The End

https://makingtheend.wordpress.com/2012/11/24/reviews

British Council Edinburgh Showcase →. November 24, 2012 · 3:21 am. Beautifully structured post-modernist piece… hugely entertaining. It’s a sweet piece of meta-theatre, a show about a show. It’s also a love song to an art form Pinchbeck believes he will be leaving, a tender goodbye to an audience he feels he can no longer reach. What’s On Stage (Sampled). Elegantly structured, thought-provoking and coolly resonant…. A compelling and intellectual piece. What’s On Stage. Let’s hope this isn’t their swansong.

Final reflections – part one →. November 15, 2010 · 12:26 pm. Feedback from Jens Binder, lecturer in Psychology at Nottingham Trent University:. Maybe someone drops them and say ‘I’m not reading this any more’. How could there be more resistance to the rules? This could be one of the tools you use to rebel. How could the performers make a decision not to proceed? What would happen if the bear caught you before you exited and what happened offstage had to happen onstage? How can we end it? Final reflections – part two →. November 15, 2010 · 2:59 pm. Final reflections – part one. Overall we received very positive responses about the final work-in-progress showing of The End at Lakeside Arts Centre. Here are some of the comments:. Like a flipchart. Or smaller? Like a deck of playing cards. (I say ‘Like this’ too much in the show.). Michael: I don’t know if you know this Ollie but the phrase ‘Show you the ropes’ comes from the theatre when people were working backstage. Enter your comment here.

Chris shows us everything she owns piled up in her house, everything itemised and catalogued on a spreadsheet that she adds to as part of the performance. Maybe a dress she bought today. Maybe some stationery she purchased on the way to the venue. We see her open up Microsoft Excel and watch her complete the latest entry in this 21. But what is left?

I am a writer, live artist and performance maker based in Nottingham. This blog will host my research for a PhD at Loughborough University exploring the role of the dramaturg. The central research questions will be ‘What is the role of a dramaturg today? And ‘How does it function in a landscape that is becoming increasingly defined by a lack of text or conventional structures or theatrical tradition? 3 responses to “. April 12, 2012 at 4:46 pm. Making It Happen.

Sunday, March 30, 2014. I've been to a lot of states in my lifetime, but I was lucky to add another to the list last weekend! My sweet roommate, Gabi, invited me and another one of our roomies, Regan, to visit her grandparents in Wyoming! I had never been to Wyoming and, to be honest, I had no idea what was there {which I now know isn't a whole lot haha} so I was way excited to go! The drive up was so fun! Once we got to Pinedale it was SO COLD and snowy! On Saturday, we went snowmobiling! We came across...
