Life at Chez Smiffy: Insight
http://chezsmiffy.blogspot.com/2011/03/insight.html
Why we eat the way we do (revised 2010). In looking over my attempts at photography over the last couple of weeks, I am struck that there is a reason I had been unable to get a usable shot. I couldn't (can't) stand still. I sway a lot lately, as I spin with my head in an attempt to not fall over. And even when I am propped against a support, my hands are trembling. So, as my head clears, perhaps I wil get better photos. (I hope.). March 21, 2011 12:51 PM. But I dont choose to lug around a tripod, so.

Life at Chez Smiffy: My Fat Manifesto
http://chezsmiffy.blogspot.com/p/my-fat-manifesto.html
Why we eat the way we do (revised 2010). I am fat. You might have noticed that. I have always been some variation on fat. As a child I was chubby, as a teen just a tiny bit curvier than my peers, as a young mother of two I was very fat. I figure that, barring any dire health crises, I will be fat to the end of my life. For many years, I shared in our culture's lipophobia. I put off my life "until I can wear a size? Then very recently, a charming friend of recent acquaintance innocently "stepped on my act...

Life at Chez Smiffy: Good morrow dear friends
http://chezsmiffy.blogspot.com/2011/03/good-morrow-dear-friends.html
Why we eat the way we do (revised 2010). Good morrow dear friends. After we went to see the children's production of Robin Hood last week, Jack was keen to read the story, so I downloaded Howard Pyle's retelling. And we've been reading that for our bedtime story. It's a good tale and we're enjoying it! But may I admit? Where have I gone wrong? Good morrow dear friends, may your today be all you had hoped and your tomorrow better still. March 30, 2011 11:31 AM. March 30, 2011 7:35 PM. Yeah, well, Jack and...

Life at Chez Smiffy: Why We Homeschool
http://chezsmiffy.blogspot.com/p/why-we-homeschool.html
Why we eat the way we do (revised 2010). So, why do we homeschool? We want Jack to remain excited and involved in his education, a partner with us in determining the goals of his academic career. We can provide the broad academic environment at just the right pace through which Jack can explore the basics of what there is to learn and know, and we will encourage and mentor him in going much deeper to sate his intellectual appetite in exploring those things that truly catch his interest. We want to nouris...

Life at Chez Smiffy: We're Moving!
http://chezsmiffy.blogspot.com/2011/04/were-moving.html
Why we eat the way we do (revised 2010). Having become completely fed up with Blogger - which is often unavailable when I have time to blog and ditches pictures as fas as I can upload them - I got desperate and have been playing with Word Press. Chez Smiffy is moving to http:/ delaney-smith.net/ChezSmiffy/. It's ugly and at the moment content is sparse, but that's where I'll be. Goodbye blogger. I will miss your google hits. ;).
