Cero | Margot Fink

Cero is a follow up to. While the previous piece was about the idealised, perfect form, Cero is about failure and struggling with reality. It’s an exploration of the journey and flawed attempts to achieve perfection, rather than just the perfection itself. The choice to animate it was made to add an exaggerated, almost comical quality to the artwork. I wanted a strangeness to the image that I felt was lacking without movement.

Posted by: Margot In: Design. Deciding to keep the existing unified, ‘load once and play’ style website over building something new was becoming untenable. So I finally made the call to start fresh. The old website was outdated, difficult to modify, and had no content management system. I’m no longer as dedicated to website design as I once was. Coding is something I enjoy as a hobby, but it’s the creation of visual content that I’m really passionate about. I was sad to see the old site go, but I’m...

Dysphoric | Margot Fink

Is an exploration of my relationship with gender. The primary theme for my work has been ‘. What am I really. A series of artworks that deal with identity. Originally I intended to create a self portrait that encapsulated my identity, but as the artwork developed I began to focus on gender. In previous work I’ve explored and celebrated femininity and androgyny, celebrating nonconventional feminine men and masculine women.
