Mary Boland House was a family home for more than 100 years warmth and comfort permeates every nook and cranny. This small domestic property which was one of the oldest, unaltered houses in Calvert was almost lost to posterity. But in 2008 the family summoned the time and resources necessary to undertake this lovingly wrought reno-restoration. To honour Mary and Arthur Boland. Welcome to Mary Boland House. Sensitively renovated to incorporate modern amenities, the decor is a contemporary mix of traditional and modern. The house retains many of its original features including wide-plank pine flooring and the original staircase. Renovations replicate the original materials used – tongue and groove wall boards, spruce clapboard and cedar roof shingles. A modern galley-style kitchen with dishes, utensils, cookware and the basics for cooking. Main floor laundry and WC (bathroom).
