You can set up a proportion where 10.5 is 100% of the original size and 30 is x percent of the final size. 105/30 = 100/x by cross-multiplying and solving for x you find that x=285.7%. Suppose that you have 1500 square feet of wall space left to paint. Do you have enough paint? You must set up two proportions, one for primer, one for top-coat. Primer: 1.5/600=4/x where x=sq. feet covered by primer. Solving this gives you x=1600sq. ft.
