Living the military life. Our life in the San Diego area. Saturday, December 31, 2011. Twenty Eleven. Wow, what an awesome year for us Culbersons! Sophie just keeps growing and growing. Talking more and more and becoming her own little person. She has a sweet, loving spirit about her, but at the same time, feisty and stubborn! We cannot wait to celebrate her two years here with us. She is by far the best thing the Lord has given us. Without a doubt. Sunday, December 25, 2011. Friday, December 23, 2011.

Living the military life...: March 2012
http://twoculbersons.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Living the military life. Our life in the San Diego area. Saturday, March 31, 2012. I've always known running is 90% mental. You're mind is always the first to give. In fact, I'm sure most triathletes would agree, swimming, cycling, and running are all mental. Training your mind is much harder than training your body. It reminds me of something Jillian Michaels said "Your legs aren't giving out, your head is giving out. Keep going.". You've got what it takes, but it will take everything you got.". This p...

Living the military life. Our life in the San Diego area. Thursday, August 16, 2012. My new toy, a bike trainer! I will be running my fourth official half-marathon this weekend. Official, meaning a race. It will be my first race since my full marathon back in June. I've felt pretty good, shin splints have plagued me again. But I've been able to train through them, grateful for my compression sleeves! Yummy, greasy, post-run food. Run to eat! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Living the military life. Our life in the San Diego area. Thursday, August 9, 2012. I get asked all the time "what my secret is" or "what did I do" to lose weight and keep it off. I thought I would share one thing that has really helped keep me accountable.the Fitbook. It helps you create a 12-week training and nutrition plan and is very. I also lov...

Living the military life...: Intervals!!
http://twoculbersons.blogspot.com/2012/08/intervals.html
Living the military life. Our life in the San Diego area. Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Need a kick-butt interval workout? Well I'm about to post one for you. The idea behind speed intervals is to teach your body to run faster by well, running faster over shorter distances. I'm starting with the 200meter distance because I'm wanting to work on my PR for shorter distance races. Typically I run an 8:00 5K pace. So I pushed myself during each interval at a 6:30 pace. 200-meter (1/8mile) intervals workout:.
