It seems to me that sometimes when one wishes for something long enough, it is possible to continue wishing for it while forgetting one's initial motivation behind it. The want becomes a habit, like how people tend to choose familiar food to eat, familiar people to be around.

More than anything I missed having a leisurely walk, looking at beautiful scenery, having random conversations.
