Notes from Jerusalem: January 2009
http://notesfromjerusalem09.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2009. The end of the day was quite possibly one of the lowest points of my life here in the Jeru program. We spent the night on an overnight train and I actually slept in a bed that's been used by who knows what. I couldn't have stomached it had I not been under the influence of benadryl. This was my face before the drugs took effect. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Kings, Camels, and Bizarre.I mean Bazaar. A few ancient temples, and my personal favorite.the camel safari! On our way to t...

http://notesfromjerusalem09.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2009. Seder It Up and Some Rain. Carly and I sporting our Passover books that always seems to confuse me because you have to read right to left. Here I am participating in Urchatz, which is the washing of the hands in the Seder ceremony. Can you tell how excited I am? Mike and Jeff showing off their Jewish rap skills. All I remember is something about "He-be-brewing". Here's me, Moon, Richelle, and Lauren waiting for our taxis in the pouring rain. I think Lauren got thirsty. Here's...

Notes from Jerusalem: The Keeper of Memories
http://notesfromjerusalem09.blogspot.com/2009/04/keeper-of-memories.html
Sunday, April 19, 2009. The Keeper of Memories. Ok so I have this ongoing thing with memories: no matter where I am I end up being the one in charge of keeping memories (who decided it was a good idea to put me in charge of things? Seriously.). I am a hard core journal keeper, picture taker, and blogger (which has not been as good as of late, sorry! My dearest Moon and I outside the church in Tiberias. This girl has more soul than a shoe store and this picture captures her essence. Richelle and I right b...

Notes from Jerusalem: Easter Sunday and So Much More
http://notesfromjerusalem09.blogspot.com/2009/04/easter-sunday-and-so-much-more.html
Monday, April 13, 2009. Easter Sunday and So Much More. Okay, so even though it's only been a few days, there has been nonstop action here at the JC and if I put off the blog any longer I know I'll get too far behind. So buckle your seatbelts and hold on tight because we're hitting a whole lot of action in this post. Fanning myself with the very last wad of shekels I could withdraw. The Church of the Visitation where Mary and Elisabeth stayed. My favorite mural inside the Visitation Church. Ok so first o...

Notes from Jerusalem: Palm fronds, Field trips, and Museums, Oh my
http://notesfromjerusalem09.blogspot.com/2009/04/palm-fronds-field-trips-and-museums-oh.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Palm fronds, Field trips, and Museums, Oh my. The best part was when Stefanie, Aleni, and I tagged along with a Polish Christian group who sang a variety of songs like Shine Jesus Shine. Smacking around palm fronds and cooking ourselves in the hot hot sun has never been more enjoyable. Aleni, me, Stefanie, and our Polish friend Adam who taught us all the cool songs. The flooded streets atop the Mt. of Olives. Lauren, Miriam, me, and Eliza outside the church of the holy sepulchre.
