https://prpjoebutler.wordpress.com/2011/10/13/week-two-blog-feedbag
Just another Research Methods and Statistics III site…. Week Two Blog Feedback. I handed in your blog and comment marks yesterday, so here’s some brief feedback. So essentially, like I mentioned last week to get a good grade on the blog – consider the topic critically, so what points do support this; what points don’t. Then use examples to illustrate, and think critically about the evidence you are using. I really like the picture you used! I know this is a lot of work for you, but in science, we improve...

https://prpjoebutler.wordpress.com/2012/02/21/blog-feedback
Just another Research Methods and Statistics III site…. Here’s a quick post with feedback from the last set of blogs and comments that I marked. Overall, I was very impressed with the standard of blogs and comments that I marked last week, so well done! Below is a few pointers, that if you follow, will help your grades improve. Blog 2/3 Feedback | Joe Butler
https://prpjoebutler.wordpress.com/2012/03/28/blog-23-feedback
Just another Research Methods and Statistics III site…. However, a couple of points I would like you to bear in mind when writing your blogs are as follows:. Please, please, please make sure your blog is relevant to research methods, and contains an argument. Some blogs have been merely descriptive in nature, and these blogs are not attracting particularly high grades. As always, if you want individual feedback on your blogs, then I am happy to discuss this in class. Have a good Easter! March 28, 2012.

https://prpjoebutler.wordpress.com/2011/10/06/week-one-blog-feedback
Just another Research Methods and Statistics III site…. Week One Blog Feedback. I’ve just had a look at the blogs you guys produced last week (those of you who have already submitted articles for week two, I won’t be marking those until next week, so heed this advice if you feel it will assist) and here are my thoughts. The majority of you write very well – so well done! Oh, and one other thing I would like to mention, is I think it would be a good idea to read the guidelines provided on Blackboard as to...

https://prpjoebutler.wordpress.com/2011/10/13/pivot-tables
Just another Research Methods and Statistics III site…. Pivot Tables (corrected for typos! Here’s a link some of you may find useful on how to create pivot tables using Excel 2011 (which is the version I believe is in the Mac Lab, and is the version I had on my Macbook Air in class today) : http:/ www.techonthenet.com/excel/pivottbls/create2011.php. This information would then help you identify the potential outliers in your data – for example participants who had made too many extra responses, or ...
