Dunk's Dialogue: January 2011
http://daviddunkerton.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 3, 2011. You think you're all that, but you're not! Does this seem unfair that God would use a nation as his sword to punish sin, and then punish that nation for being his sword? Or is he punishing them for taking the credit instead of giving him the glory? Think about this, but be careful that you do not limit God to human standards. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Dunk's Dialogue: January 2012

Thursday, January 26, 2012. A blessing that looks like an inconvenience. In many ways, this abnormal memory is a blessing in disguise. I may forget what I had for lunch that day, but I clearly remember something from 15 or 20 years ago. Forgetting things can be a blessing, too. You know that negative thing someone said that you just can't get out of your mind? That doesn't happen to me much, anymore. Also, I can read a comic book that I've read several times before and still be surprised!

Monday, May 23, 2011. Starlight and Time: Solving the puzzle of distant starlight in a young universe. I believe in the absolute authority of the Bible because it is God's word. I also believe in true science using the scientific method (" the collection of data through observation and experiment, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses,". Dunk's Dialogue: October 2010

Tuesday, October 19, 2010. The Oath by Frank Peretti. By Frank Peretti is a great story on its own, and it also has an excellent spiritual application. There is a dragon that is real in the story, but which is also a metaphor for the sin nature. The suspenseful writing makes it a thrill to read- quite a few characters do get eaten by the dragon, and that's always fun! Review by David Dunkerton. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The truth is, if I had known what it was about I probably would not have chosen to read it, but I think it was good for me to read. Dunk's Dialogue: November 2010
http://daviddunkerton.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 4, 2010. I'm a Good Man, But.". I'm a Good Man, But. Is a devotional published by Regal Books in 1969 and edited by Fritz Ridenour. Each chapter focuses on a different life issue with biblical references from the Living Bible, illustrations from various sources, and open-ended scenarios to give the reader opportunity to think about it. Included in the illustrations are Peanuts. Comics used by permission. I would recommend this book, especially for young adults. Review by David Dunkerton.
