Trying To Quit My Day Job. The long winding road toward being a writer. I’m Not A Slacker, Really. May 4, 2008 by mikeholm. Wow, it’s been a long time since my last post. I haven’t been sitting around doing nothing for the past couple of weeks, though. I’ve actually had a lot of stuff going on. I also joined the Online Writing Workshop for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. 8221; for writing it, as I mentioned a while back. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on how that goes. Trying To Quit My Day Job. The long winding road toward being a writer. The first story that I’m sharing is called Unbridled. It’s the story of a girl who has a dream of living forever, with her boyfriend by her side. I wrote it last summer, and based it on a certain image that had planted itself in my head. Our day started out watching the parade.we were lucky to find our friend Megan there with her children and sat by her.and also say Kate and Blaine walk by and they sat with us too!
