Tales from the attic: The Great War
http://talesfromtheattik.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-great-war.html
Tales from the attic. Tuesday, 7 July 2015. I finally managed to pop round to the post office to pick up my most recent kickstarter I backed. This one has been tremendous with regular updates and has arrived in a respectable timescale. So what's in the box. The usual suspects for a Richard Borg, 12x11 hex map, cards, counters, special dice and rules with 16 scenarios. Another 2 scenarios come with the deal as well as 10 artillery models. That's all for tonight but I think this will feature again soon.

Adventures in historical miniatures wargaming (with some other stuff thrown in, too). Friday, 9 August 2013. AMAKAZU RAIDERS APPROACH, SENSEI! Since my childhood I have been fascinated by Japanese culture and history, so it was natural once I got into miniature wargaming that I would build forces and acquire rules to play out various eras from that country’s history. After trying out a number of different rule-sets I (and the club) have settled on Peter Pig’s Battles in the Age of War. Rulebook is an att...

July 29 marked my return to regular Monday night war-gaming with the club after a little over a month off for reasons mostly having to do with my daughter. For the occasion, Greg and I decided to try out the. Rules before (I’ll give you my thoughts after the recap). Omens, omens. So take what I have to say in that context. Rules felt good to me. Tales from the attic: December 2014
http://talesfromtheattik.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tales from the attic. Friday, 26 December 2014. Ice and fire pt 1. I thought I'd post my first game of lion rampant for my ice and fire themed games. It will in no way follow the books but take its own path and will have many twists and turns along the way. It starts with a scenario from the rule book whereby one force has to find and safely retrieve an escaped enemy captive. She is said to be hiding in a nearby village. Immediately Rob mobilises some men and they head out. He must find his mother quickly.
