Friday, January 1, 2010. I Love a Parade! Once again, Happy 2010. I have a rather long history with the famous New Year's Day tradition that is the Tournament of Roses Parade. From my youth, I've cherished memories of spending the night at grandma's with my cousins (while our parents partied! And waking up to a delicious breakfast of sausage, eggs, Hawaiian bread French Toast, orange juice, and the Rose Parade on T.V! I caught glimpses of today:. So many pretty colors in this group! Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Swellegent, that is! I mentioned the product in a post about the workshop. I took with Christi Friesen last month. The Swellegent products are finely-ground metals suspended in a binder. They thin and clean up with water, which make them extremely easy to use, but because they are metal they can be oxidized or given a patina. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. He is listing to starboard in a pretty obvious way. We usually adjust for a weight-bearing leg "pulling up" by shifting it ever so slightly in the opposite direction. The idea is that as it dries, it will pull into the proper place. But to know what constitutes a small shift, I need to have the legs lined up properly.
