Honestly Purple: July 2012
http://honestlypurple.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 19, 2012. Upcoming Surgeries, and Reminiscing. Tomorrow morning, R is having a minor surgical procedure done - she'll be getting a skin cyst removed from her forearm, and will have a local anesthetic. She's a bit nervous, and has tons of questions for the doctor when we get there (Will there be a lot of blood? Can you make it so I don't see anything? Can you use dissolving stitches instead of the non-dissolving ones? When can I play in the chlorine-ey pool water or salty beach water again?

Honestly Purple: Eight Years
http://honestlypurple.blogspot.com/2012/10/eight-years.html
Saturday, October 20, 2012. Eight years already.yikes! I still miss you Grampa. I like re-reading my post from last year ( http:/ honestlypurple.blogspot.com/2011/10/dear-grampa.html. And reliving all the memories. Happiness and sadness all rolled into one right there. *sigh* The most unforgettable things about my grandfather, to me, are his sense of humor, his stubborn-ness, and his heart of gold; he'd do anything to help. Love you Grampa! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Honestly Purple: Bucket List
http://honestlypurple.blogspot.com/2013/01/bucket-list.html
Sunday, January 13, 2013. Sohere's my "someday" list. Go on a helicopter ride. Go on a hot air balloon ride. Visit the Grand Canyon, and take either a helicopter or hot air balloon "tour". Visit / hike / explore some of the somewhat local mountains / trails / caverns / gorges (the White Mountains in New Hampshire aren't "that" far away). See the Northern Lights (without freezing to death). Go on a multi-day cruise. Get a nice camera (DSLR with various lenses). Get a nice laptop. Organize our family photos.

Honestly Purple: June 2012
http://honestlypurple.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 4, 2012. I need to find a way to fit blogging into my schedule a little bit more often.I'm a super-slacker when it comes to posting lately. Oops! Anyways, I don't have a nice, organized, thoughtful post planned out, but here's a whole lot of randomness instead. L has started proudly announcing "Ready, Aim, FIRE! Every time she needs to fart. I think it's hilarious, but we're trying to teach her that "Excuse me" is a bit more appropriate when we're in public. I can't wait for her to open it.

Honestly Purple: January 2013
http://honestlypurple.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 15, 2013. When our family gets sick, we go all out. Germ-sharing seems to be inevitable. (Now if only the kids would share their toys as easily as they share their germs…). R has had a bit of a sniffley thing, but seemed to be doing okay – until Sunday night, when she woke up in tears because her ear hurt and she thought she had an ear infection. So, it was back to the doctor's for a sick visit for R. And I am fighting off the cold the kids so lovingly shared with me. R had surgery a few...

Honestly Purple: April 2012
http://honestlypurple.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 21, 2012. Boys Will Be Boys, Part 2. I thought it would be fun to do another post about Z's latest adventures, since, well.as he's gotten bigger, so have his adventures! Tasting rocks (because.well.what else is there to do with a giant rock? Helping himself to a snack (because one handful just isn't enough.). Digging for gold. (he doesn't pick for the sake of picking, he just thinks his finger belongs up his nose when he says "ssshhhhh", instead of in front of his mouth.). Z had an appoin...

Honestly Purple: Serenity
http://honestlypurple.blogspot.com/2013/01/serenity.html
Thursday, January 10, 2013. I find myself thinking of the serenity prayer a lot lately. God grant me the serenity to. Accept the things I cannot change;. Courage to change the things I can;. And wisdom to know the difference. I already know that this year is going to be a challenge. Another saying that's been popping into my head lately - Prepare for the worst, expect the best, and take what comes. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
