just some punk songs: The Membranes - Do The Supernova
http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-membranes-do-supernova.html
Just some punk songs. Saturday, 1 August 2015. The Membranes - Do The Supernova. It's one for the money! Two for the show! Three to get ready! Go, cat, go! 1989 saw the release of the album To Slay The Rock Pig and this looked like being their final long player but they reformed in 2009 in order to play All Tomorrow's Parties and earlier this year Cherry Red Records released Dark Matter/Dark Energy, a sonic soundscape that deals with the themes of life and death (both on a personal and a Universal level)...

just some punk songs: Anti-Pasti - Another Dead Soldier
http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2015/08/anti-pasti-another-dead-soldier.html
Just some punk songs. Friday, 14 August 2015. Anti-Pasti - Another Dead Soldier. It's been a while since I posted something from way back so without further ado here's a classic from 1981. A second album, The Last Call, came out in 1982 and there were a few singles but they split in 1984 after one line up change too many. Currently lining up with Gez Addictive (vocals), Ollie Hoon (guitar/vocals), Ben Hanson (bass/vocals) and Kevin Nixon (drums), they're still railing against life's injustices and a new ...

just some punk songs: The Dubtones - All Systems Failing
http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-dubtones-all-systems-failing.html
Just some punk songs. Friday, 22 May 2015. The Dubtones - All Systems Failing. Gig wise, they've always been very active and have supported an impressive list of top bands (The Beat, Bad Manners, Rancid, The Members, The Damned, Selecter, The Lurkers, The Vibrators, Menace, The Outcasts etc.). 2013 saw the release of the Asylum mini album which to these grizzled old ears was even better than their impressive early material. From that disc, this is All Systems Failing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2015/08/parasites-hang-up.html
Just some punk songs. Saturday, 8 August 2015. Parasites - Hang Up. Today is Dave-Parasite MacKenzie's birthday so it's about time his band had a song featured on this blog. Formed way back in the mid 80's in New Jersey by vocalist/guitarist Dave and bassist Ron Nole (Ronnie Parasite), The Parasites released their debut, the Lost In The 80's ep in 1987 on Electrified Hair Records. Dave also runs his own Kid Tested Records which all pop punk fans should check out : http:/ www.kidtestedrecords.net/. After ...

http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2015/08/ghost-mice-free-pizza-for-life.html
Just some punk songs. Thursday, 13 August 2015. Ghost Mice - Free Pizza For Life. A song that many of you will already be familiar with today but one that deserves a place in any blog celebrating great punk songs. Ghost Mice are a diy folk punk band from Bloomington, Indiana and currently comprise of Hannah (violon/vocals/bass), Chris Clavin (guitar/vocals/uke), Pascaloo (uke/bass) and Emily (mandoline/melodica/concertina). I'm gonna write this in a book one day. But for now this song will have to do.

just some punk songs: Supercharger - Take a Hint
http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2015/08/supercharger-take-hint.html
Just some punk songs. Sunday, 16 August 2015. Supercharger - Take a Hint. Oh Baby Won't You Take A Hint. I first heard Supercharger back in 1993 when the late, great Radio 1 dj John Peel played a song by them called Way Out. The next day I rushed out and bought their Goes Way Out! Rough and ready production, primitive but infectious songs, Supercharger were one hell of a rock n roll band. Lowery went on to release many classic records on his Rip Off Records label whilst Raeffelli found success as a p...
