more JOY everywhere!: Answer: Lompoc, California
http://morejoyeverywhere.blogspot.com/2013/07/lompoc-california.html
Answer: Lompoc, California. Question: Where am I from? This is a query that depends on context, isn't it? Lately, when someone asks where I'm from, I say, los estados unidos. There and Back Again (pt. 2). Wherein, after more than a month, Ean finally recounts his adventures at his next and penultimate destination on his 4 cities in 3 weeks tour of the U.S. Here. Is part 1. And here. Is the part before part 1, which may aptly be referred to as part 0.). All that AND oysters. What's not to love? Boston has a symphony. Is it symphony season? One couple, two cats and a monohull on the move. Ocean World: To go or not to go? This entry was posted on April 15, 2013, in Dominican Republic. And tagged dolphin hunt. The dolphins at Ocean World. Look happy, but is it an illusion? To get used to. Like slavery and camel racing. And so I made the decision not to attend the local camel races so as not to support a sport that depended on child slaves to exist. And after I left in 2004, I felt validated when the government banned the use of ch...What was ...

more JOY everywhere!: Catastrophic Molting
http://morejoyeverywhere.blogspot.com/2014/08/catastrophic-molting.html
Finally, the boat is sold. S/v More Joy Everywhere. Has found a new owner – someone who we’re certain will take good care of her and restore her to pre-lightning-strike glory. She will ply the Pacific from Panama for a while – but there are plans for grand voyages to South Pacific Isles, and we wish her fair winds and following seas. As we walked around starry-eyed for a couple of weeks after the deal was done, one of us was apt to remind the other: “Hey, we don’t own a boat! 8211; only in reverse. So yo...

Our Barrel of Monkeys. Monkey See, Monkey Do. Ben (Captain), Sarah (Ships Mate), Fluffy (Fur-st Mate). S/v Tygress, 1982 Ganley 34 steel sloop. Once Tygress is fixed up and ready to cruise our plan is to head north to the blue waters of the Whitsundays, exploring Queensland's beautiful islands and coastline along the way. One day we'd like to circumnavigate Australia and recreate some famous historical voyages. Scott (the cynical sailor) and Ellen (the non-cynical salty sidekick). We're off to the States...
