Pondering, parenting, poetry and prose. What I’m Writing Linky. The things they say #8 – unnameable pouches. It’s been a really full-on couple of weeks what with it being the easter holidays and the fact that I’ve still been trying to work (ok, only one day but still… ), and write and blog and do my illustration course… and then of course there was the post that went huge. And got me into many an inspiring Twitter conversation about education. 8221; he said gleefully “It look like a crusty bum! He’...

Pondering, parenting, poetry and prose. What I’m Writing Linky. Waaaaay back in 2010/11 I had another blog. It was part of a babywares business. I ran with my husband and when the business closed the blog went with it. We kept the blog posts on a computer somewhere though because we had mostly written about our kids and wanted to keep those memories. My oldest two back in 2011. I think they’re looking at insects (not much has changed, then… ). Who had he seen, you might wonder? Oh no No one like that.

Pondering, parenting, poetry and prose. What I’m Writing Linky. A tale of two dodos – #WhatImWriting. Long, long ago, in a land far, far away…. Oh ok, five years ago in a house down the road and round the corner… I used to write another blog. My husband and I had a babywares business (called Little Dodo – which goes. There is a story behind this picture… it makes me all emotional just to look at it! Anyway, we had the blog for about eighteen months and then – despite our best marketing efforts (inc...

Pondering, parenting, poetry and prose. What I’m Writing Linky. I’ve always enjoyed pumpkin carving – I used to do it as a child and loved that moment when the candles were lit, the lights went out and your artwork came to life! My sons now love making them too. The first year we tried them we cut the classic grinning faces but then a couple of years ago I bought a pumpkin carving kit from the supermarket (it came with special little tools and a booklet of designs) and we’ve never looked back. As a lover...

Observations of a stressed wife and mother. April 24, 2014. I’m a mass of contradictions, a big ol’ un-opened can of worms,. I’m super anally retentive but would rather blog than eradicate germs. I don’t like pictures to be wonky or ornaments to be out of line,. But washing, ironing and dusting stuff aren’t favourite hobbies of mine. I like things to be neat and ordered and yet run round like a blue-arsed fly,. I’m often found at the tumble dryer of a morning, waiting for uniforms to dry. But I also crav...

Learning how to believe in yourself - The Diary of an Unexpectant Mother
http://www.diaryofanunexpectantmother.com/2015/09/18/learning-how-to-believe-in-yourself
Pregnancy & Beyond. Learning how to believe in yourself. Learning how to believe in yourself. Written by Natalie Streets. So it got me thinking, is learning to believe in yourself ever something people fully grasp? Reinvent myself in to the person that I really wanted to be. Rather than the person I was pigeon-holed as and believed I had to be. I didn’t feel attractive. I didn’t feel intelligent. I was useless at everything I tried. Today I realised that although I believe in myself in some ways, I don&#...
