Skees Family Blog: 11/1/12 - 12/1/12

Friday, November 30, 2012. A recent trip to costco. James had one of the slices of pepperoni pizza that they sell in the cafe. I cut up the first part and then he picks up the second. That slice was as big as his head.which is pretty big! John is finally big enough to sit up in the kid area. Luckily, costco has two seats since his big brother isn't quite big enough to wander through costco with me just yet. James was so excited to have the baby and not the carseat next to him. Sunday, March 31, 2013. Getting the "Easter" Shot! I think James was just done taking pictures at this point, but those ties were too cute! As usual, we hosted the big family meal and good food was had by all. Then we moved downstairs to find easter baskets and eggs. James's basket was in plain sight. No picture - but Rose's was in the dryer - hehe! John's toy was in the middle of the floor! Burn off those sugar calories. Saturday, March 30, 2013. Who is that cute baby? I wanna play with him! Every once ...

Making Life Beautiful, Today: Satisfied
http://makinglifebeautifultoday.blogspot.com/2013/07/satisfied.html
Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Continuing on with the thoughts I started sooooo long ago.oh my goodness, that was April! If you need a reminder, read it here. Searching for satisfaction in my own life, my productivity, my results, more often than not is a dead-end game.true satisfaction can only come from making it my aim above all else to be pleasing to the Lord. Not putting our confidence in how we feel about ourselves, pleasing our moms or mother-in-laws, our super-mom friends, etc. But how? God, not man.

the speechaholic: March 2014
http://thespeechaholic.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 16, 2014. Nine, Yes, NINE Months. This girl just keeps growing! How do we have a nine month old already? A delightfully sweet nine month old at that. Gosh, we love her! This month has flown. Emerson Jane is 20.4 lbs and 28.5 inches long! Although apparently that is not a universally accepted idea e.g., this. Another milestone was the arduous work of cutting her first top tooth! While I love taking her monthly pictures, I can tell this is going to be increasingly difficult each month. I ...

Skees Family Blog: BrickFair
http://skeesblog.blogspot.com/2013/08/brickfair.html
Sunday, August 4, 2013. We took some family time at the BrickFair this weekend. It was an entire convention hall set up with lego creations that people had built and brought to show off. Of course there were also retailers, so our own lego collection grew quite a bit. This is a piece of art, literally. It was leaning on an easel and was somewhat 3-demensional. Probably one of the coolest pieces I saw all day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A trip to the local nature center. I can teach my child!

http://skeesblog.blogspot.com/2013/08/waterpark-day.html
Monday, August 12, 2013. Every August, we venture out to a local waterpark with some friends. This year, the big kids were old enough (aka not scared) to go in the wave pool. It was a blast.
