A blog by Samir K. Doshi. Monday, August 19, 2013. What is an economy for? The question has been asked several times before, trying to open up a dialogue into the purpose or intention. Questions of this ilk are usually posed by those that look around to the inequality, unsustainability and lack of resiliency that our current economic policies have fostered. Thanks to Middlebury Prof. Jon Isham,. I recently saw a video of Harvard Prof. Marshall Ganz discussing social change. This thinking extends to the c...

Day before yesterday, at the International Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia, I had the opportunity to speak at the annual Jain Convention. Thousands had gathered, civil rights heroes John Lewis and Andrew Young spoke before me, and I then delivered a talk on a first-time topic for me: The Radical Power of Humility. Projects I'm Involved With. The meta gift-economy experiment.

In Journey: Silence in Spain

Advait - Short Stories. Sunday, June 07, 2015. Dhamma Neeru, fountain of dhamma is the name of Vipassana meditation centre in Barcelona. I was given the task to help in the kitchen, and I enjoyed peeling carrots, washing dishes and even made a dish by myself. I was struck by the detailed process made by the centre to guide the volunteers for preparing food, I am sure it helped to manage hundreds of vipassana centres worldwide. It is truly exemplary all volunteer run. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

In Journey: Buen Camino - Road to Santiago
http://ijourney.blogspot.com/2014/06/buen-camino.html
Advait - Short Stories. Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Buen Camino - Road to Santiago. How did the rose ever opened its heart and give to this world all of it's beauty? It felt the encouragement of light against it's being. Otherwise we all remain too frightened.". This quote by Hafiz reminded me of little experiments we do in 'Moved by Love' and how each little act of kindness and generosity helps open our heart. With all of you in my heart I take the next step in the ancient road to Santiago. Savitri - brin...
