Mexico’s 200th birthday is coming next September 16th of 2010, so we have almost one year to get our ducks in a row, the mariachi band together and a good load of tequila and marguerita mix stored in the cellar. Part of our tradition is to to make an offering, “ofrenda” where we place the earthly pleasures like food, and decorate the altar with “papel picado” colorful paper like in this picture, and marigolds flowers. Instead of Halloween, children ask for donations for their skull. Dia de los muertos. August 14, 2008.

With this economy now is the time to concentrate on this words, “Amor Vincit Omnia” and just today, the ring. Finally arrived, and it looks wonderful. Black enamel and sterling silver with my logo and a heart in the center, and the “love conquers all ” latin mantra surrounding it.
