Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Today in class we celebrated. Earth Day by wearing green, reading about recycling and doing a fun activity. Each student brought in a regular household item that they would normally. Throw away and used their imagination to create something they could use. Thursday, December 18, 2008. Field Trip to the Rescue Mission. On December 11, we took a trip to the Kokomo. We had a tour of the facility and got to see first hand how much time and money it takes to keep the place running. We also decorated the cafeteria where we got to experience what it is like to eat there. We also donated. Four boxes of food to the shelter. We had a great time and learned so much. What a great learning experience! Wow, we looked great and did a fabulous job singing! 5 A R points!

Saturday, January 31, 2009. Look at the readers who have 5 A.R.points this week! Mrs Irwin is very proud of what great readers you are becoming in second grade! Keep up the great work, I am very proud of all of you! Here we are working. Friday, January 23, 2009. In celebration of the 100 th. Day of school, clowns from Miles of Smiles came to visit us. The kids had a lot of fun. Look real close and you will see that two of our kids were choosen out of the crowd to participate. What fun!

Thursday, February 26, 2009. A Pie In The Face! All I can say is WOW! Our school did such an awesome job with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fund raiser. Our school raised $1201! Thank you for all of your generosity and support. Our class came in first place with the amount of money raised. We bought seven pies to put on our student. Council member. Our school even raised. Enough money to put a pie in Mr. Willman's. Working hard in math class! Name under which vegetables. Keep up the hard work reading.

The children came up to the board and wrote their. Name under which vegetables. They preferred. We then discussed how many liked which vegetables and collected information from our chart. Monday, February 22, 2010. We had so much fun during our Valentine party. We opened our cards and ate yummy treats. We guessed how many candy hearts were in the container. A special girl in our guessed the closest, so she got to take the whole container of hearts home. We played pass the cup. We had to pass the cup using straws. It was very hard to do!
